Random

I want to begin by thanking Sharon Fritchman who's also known as That Girl Fritchey for an excellent first time hosting Art Journal Journey.  We are immensely pleased with Sharon, both with the art she shared and the comments she left.  Yes, we've invited Sharon to join us in 2025.

Now for some exciting news.  Erika, Bleubeard, and I want to welcome our new moderator, our dear friend Mia of Craftartista.  She is also our host this month and her theme is Dots.

This is my interpretation of DOTS, Mia of Craftartista's chosen theme for the entire month of January at Art Journal Journey.  Detail shots are below.

In case you couldn't read my writing, it reads Random Dots.

I began by coloring the background of my 110 lb cardstock using red and pink water soluble crayons.  I then did the same using a yellow water soluble crayon.  When completely dry, I used two punches to cut the circles I glued randomly to the page.

Mia, Erika, Bleubeard, and I are delighted you joined us and hope to see you this month at Art Journal Journey as you share your own interpretation of Dots.

Please remember we welcome art journal pages that meet the theme requirements, altered book pages, canvases, loose, or stand alone pages including fabric and digital art.  I (and the administrators) cannot leave comments on Facebook or Instagram entries.  We do not allow cards!!!  We also don't allow tags, index cards, ATCs, or ATCoins, unless they are part of a journal page, and as much as we don't want to, will be forced to delete your entry.  Please remember if your blog is not in English, we ask that you translate it for us since the translation tool doesn't work on some blogs, including mineHope to see you and your Dots entries soon at Art Journal Journey.

  4. I love all your dots. Yellow was a great dot color as they pop off that red background. And I like the size difference and the scallops too. No one can claim you didn't meet the challenge-grin. Wishing you a wonderful start to 2025 my good friend. hugs-Erika
