Snow

I want to begin by thanking Wendy of wendysartandcraftjournal for being such a great host during the month of November at Art Journal Journey.  I wish I could have played more because I had several spreads I had started.  Thanks for being a great host, Wendy.  We look forward to seeing what you have planned for your year 7!

This month we welcome a first time host to Art Journal Journey.  We are delighted to present someone you may know from other design teams: the talented Sharon Fritchman who's also known as That Girl Fritchey.  Sharon's theme is Snow.

This is actually plan G. Plan A was to use a snow leopard which I know I have in my stash.  However, after looking for two days, I decided to create snowflakes for a background and a snowman for the focal image. That turned into a disaster, so what you see is what you get, or plan G.  Detail shots are below.

I found this image in a book, then added the word Snow using my color laser printer. I outlined the word using a blue felt tip marker.

Sharon, Erika, Bleubeard, and I are delighted you joined us and hope to see you this month at Art Journal Journey as you share your own interpretation of Snow.

Please remember we welcome art journal pages that meet the theme requirements, altered book pages, canvases, loose, or stand alone pages including fabric and digital art.  I (and the administrators) cannot leave comments on Facebook or Instagram entries.  We do not allow cards!!!  We also don't allow tags, index cards, ATCs, or ATCoins, unless they are part of a journal page, and as much as we don't want to, will be forced to delete your entry.  Please remember if your blog is not in English, we ask that you translate it for us since the translation tool doesn't work on some blogs, including mineHope to see you and your Snow entries soon at Art Journal Journey.

  3. The sudden beginning of winter has our area looking very picturesque with snow. Luckily it didn’t build up on the streets so I will still be able to go out for groceries!
I hope you will recover faster from your second fall downstairs than from the previous one. Repeated falls are very concerning as we age, and I wish you were able to get some medical help.

  4. Elizabeth, I LOVE your "plan G" work of art!! (Gosh, I don't know how many times I start something and it turns into a disaster, then go to my next plan.) The image you found in a book is absolutely beautiful, and the addition of the word snow that your created from your laser printer is perfect here. Thank you so much for joining my snow challenge this month.

  6. That is a beautiful snowy scene. Snow is so pretty when you can look at it- it's the shoveling that takes away the beauty-grin. This is a nice page to start to the month. I hope your arm and shoulder are recovering. It hasn't been good, has it? Happy December; let's hope this month is better with no failed to publish comments and a body that feels better. hugs-Erika

  8. There are a few flakes dancing in the wind outside my window right now. Barely able to see them. The ground is white. I like this choice for December. :)
