Light

 

Before we begin, I want to thank Erika for hosting in January.  She was a super host, visiting everyone at Art Journal Journey, which is far more than I can say for myself.

Today we welcome a new host as we always do each month to Art Journal Journey.  Not only is she a new host, she is a first time host.  Let me introduce all you regular Art Journal Journey participants to Vicki of Stamped Smiles.

This is my interpretation of Keeping it Light as requested by our host, Vicki of Stamped Smiles.  As I mentioned before, not just a new host, but Vicki is a first time host, as well.  I hope you will make her feel at home because she makes lovely art.  As usual, I have a few detail shots.

I started with this image I found in a magazine that spoke to me.  I felt it explained light in two different ways.  First there was sunlight peeking through the background.  Then there was the light wine.  I stamped everything using a new stamp set I had to cut apart before I could use it.  I had just finished stamping my final "e" when I dropped it onto the "n."  It's true, I still can't stamp!!

Vicki, Chris, Erika, Valerie, Bleubeard, and I are delighted you joined us and hope to see you this month at Art Journal Journey as you share your own interpretation of Keeping it Light.
