Today I'm joining Elle from Empire of the Cat, who is our host this month at Art Journal Journey. Her themes are Books, Cats, Tea. Today I used all three for the first time this month.
As I'm sure you can tell, this spread was created in my Cats altered book. It started with a calendar page, to which I added the words and a tea bag I "hooked" over the flag on the mailbox. The background was the book pages. Thanks ever so much for joining Bleubeard and me today. We are grateful you stopped by. We also hope you will join us at Art Journal Journey.

That is a gorgeous moggy. Really, really lovely.
ReplyDeleteClever and very, very cute! Bet Eileen with Saturday Critters would love it, too! Why not join?
ReplyDelete...we only get junk in our mailbox.
ReplyDeleteNow that would be really fun mail to get. That's a great photo. And I really like how you added the teabag hanging off the mail to go flap. (Not sure if that has a name or not.) That kitty has such a sweet expression too. This is perfect for Elle's challenge, and your kitty altered book must be coming along nicely. Have a great weekend my friend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe clever idea from you, Elizabeth! Lovely cat, indeed, and brave to move this way ;))
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday xx
P.S. My reading cat is on his bobbies...
That cat image is absolutely gorgeous. What a soulful face!
ReplyDeleteKitty altered book- what a fun idea! And a limited edition gray cat in the mailbox? Even more fun.
ReplyDeleteFun! Is that Bluebeard in your mailbox?

Love this page Elizabeth! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful kitty but I've actually popped back to explain what Henry the VIII actually did. It's a long story really but basically the Pope would not grant an annulment for his marriage to Kathrine of Aragon so he could marry Anne so he became the first monarch to introduce a new state religion to the country (Church of England) and it was then that he got rid of the catholic Monastries, friaries and convents but most churches and Cathedrals were expected to adopt the new religion. There's lots more to it than I can tell you here but hope that explains it a bit. Hugs Angela xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun picture. Handsome fellow in the mail box, too. Wouldn't that be a wonderful special delivery to receive?
ReplyDeleteLovely page, really exactly right for you! I hope you had a great day, and wish you a lovely Sunday, too. Take care, hugs, Valerie

A sweet kitty!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed seeing your cat pages, unfortunately some of the comments I made haven't published. Sorry to read about your 'lost' credit card! Hope everything else is going well! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cat - that would be my favourite type of mail to receive if I had a mailbox - it would be difficult to squeeze the kitty through the letterbox in my front door lol. Well done incorporating all three elements in your page today. Thanks for joining me for the Books, Cats & Tea September theme at Art Journal Journey this month. Happy Journalling! Elle xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cat. - Anne (Cornucopia)
