It's Friday, which means it's time to join Friday Smiles, hosted by Annie (at A Stitch in Time). Let's visit Annie and the other wonderful ladies who also share their smiles each Friday.
I've got nothing this week. I wish I did, but I've been so busy doing menial work, I haven't had time to take photos or find something of interest around my home or town. Instead, I went to the archives and am showing what I call "Drive By Shootings" I have never shown on my blog.

A sad remembrance of my beautiful rosemary I had for four years

and allowed it to die from neglect within a matter of two weeks this spring.
And finally, a few funnies.

Thanks for dropping by today. Enjoy your weekend. I hope you found a bit of humor in these, especially if a cat owns you. PLEASE visit Annie and
don't forget to start your weekend with a smile. We are still in the middle of extreme heat in the middle of my country,
but temperatures are hopefully dropping a few degrees next week. And please don't forget those who lost everything to the hurricane that hit south Florida, then headed up the east coast this week.
Thanks for the ride, but, aw, poor rosemary...
ReplyDeleteSadly didn´t have my cam with me - just saw the black neighborhood-cat!
Love the amazon one!
Love your drive by shots - and am smiling at the funnies. Many of them are very, very true - and I might have to try the Amazon box one.
ReplyDeleteI love your drive-by shots of the tree shadows. I am just maing a little photo of some ferm using sun-sensitive paper. not sure how it will turn out.
ReplyDeleteSad about the rosemary, but I know they do have a limited life. You have way more trees around than we do. I guess it is just too dry for most of the year.
I smiled at your funnies. My cat is certainly 'owning' me right now. Kate x
Have a great weekend —- I hope you are through with the “menial” stuff.
ReplyDeletebest, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Lovely shadowy pics on your drive by. The funnies make me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Annie x
Love the cat with the toilet roll, this was a favourite hobby of my Kitty, I had to hide them in the cupboard.... Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDelete...life too often is filled with menial work, bummer.
ReplyDeleteThe tree shadows are really interesting. Love the funnies, too.
ReplyDeleteLove those tree shadow shots, they look amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat funnies you've shared.
All the best Jan
Sorry Elizabeth I thought I'd already left you a message. We've been out in the garden most of the day and by the time I'd showered, done dinner and fed the dogs and just about had enough so I'm catching up a bit before bed. It's lovely to look back at some older photos. Loving the cat funnies they always make me smile. Hope you have a good weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteI always like when you do your drive by shootings, and these are as good as some of the others you've shown. Isn't it good to have some archives on hand? Did you get your new electric box put in? I love the cat on the top roll photo. Did I ever mention that my cat Leo loved to grab the rolls and attack them, only he was too big to hang off of them. He'd have ripped the hanger right off the wall. Have a super start to the weekend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe phrase "drive by shootings" always makes a shiver go down my spine. We do get the real thing here on a regular basis... and if you are taking the pics while driving by you'd get pulled over here in the city.
ReplyDeleteBut...
You're not alone in having lost your rosemary :(
