What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday # 676 (I can't forget the asterisk)

At one time, I was very active in WOYWW.  Now I pop in a few times, or at least once or twice, a year.  However, I have never missed an anniversary and don't intend to this one, either.  I owe SO much to my dear friend and our head desker Julia of Stamping Ground.  She has always been so supportive and made me feel right at home.

Here is the ATC I have created, along with a little something-something for my PIF partner.  Of course, you'll have to wait to see it sans envelope until my PIF partner has received it.  I didn't realize the contents of the envelope would show through when I photographed it.  I guess most of you saw WOYWWendy hogging the scene.

She's everywhere and laughing at the WOYWW pillow case I turned into my sewing machine dust cover celebrating our first anniversary.  It was my first venture in stamping on fabric using fabric paint, all thanks to Julia's encouragement, of course.  The letters came from a set of address stencils.

Be honest.  The reason you drop by is to see my latest rocking horse.  This was a gift from Lyn, aka Spyder.  Photobombing the scene is Wendy, again.

Now it's time for Wendy, who turns 12 this week (see below**), to return to her normal spot, and for me to wait to link to Julia's blog.  Even if, for some ridiculous reason, I forget the asterisk (*) the first time, I still plan to be part of the PIF exchange.  **As an aside, I created Wendy 12 years ago for the first WOYWW anniversary.  It was the first time I stamped solvent ink on fabric. I stamped her face, then stuffed and sewed it in place. I added a few long hairs because I have very short hair, but bangs that come to or below my eyebrows. I then cut the bodice out of fabric and the skirt out of some very heavy cloth I had. I used the one stencil I owned at the time to write the letters down the side of Wendy's skirt.

Thanks for dropping by. Whether you're a closet voyeur, a craft enabler, or someone just getting workspace ideas, you have come to the right desk hop.  Please join me at Julia's, where you will meet the kindest, most generous bloggers in the world.  Please be aware, I will be by to visit each and everyone who links, even if blogger forces me to write my comment 12 times.

  1. Wow, she is special and cute - as is the dust cover.
Wups. I have none, my sewing machine sits there just like that - do I need a cover?
The rocking horse is cute, too - looking forward to what you will do with this, never knew about it!

Great to see you and your desk. Dear old Wendy . . . maybe I shouldn't say 'old', more 'familiar'.

  11. She's still a scene stealer, that WOYWW Wendy! Thank you for your kind and sweet words, I hope your readers take 'em with a little salt, although I'm happy to be the one who 'made' you stamp now and then! It was lovely to open up and see you on the blog this morning. When I get my proper time management act together, back to proper blogging I will be, and happier for it, no doubt! Hope you're well and having a good Spring!

  18. You make me realize that I never really use the desk any more. Only when I pay bills, and that's not interesting. My computer desktop is really it. Everything I do, from reading to writing to photo processing to blogging is on the laptop or the iPad. Even most recipe research. Funny thing.

  23. Lovely to hear from you early before the link was up. I've not been that creative lately, just doing other things. Son left home in March and Hubby retires in June so all changing here, need to find my new normal.

Lovely to see WOYWWendy and all your other WOYWW related trinkets. I have my one and only altered book on display still, it was such a great experience. Even Hubby remembers me doing it. Lots of Love BJ#18
