I'm once again joining Erika aka BioArtGal who is hosting Art Journal Journey this month with her theme Vintage or Modern.
In this entry, I have returned to the 1920s, where I traveled through India on my motorbike.
It was time to write a postcard to my favorite aunt who lives in Cairo.
This is the only art I brought home with me, although I plan to frame it and give it to my aunt.
For this page, born in my imagination, I began by spritzing some of my handmade shimmering mists on 110 lb cardstock and allowing them to run. While the mists were drying, I colored the woman in red using water soluble crayons. Then I colored the black and white palm trees and river with more water soluble crayons. Even though it took a really long time, I was quite happy with how it turned out. I've now added it to my large art journal.Bleubeard and I are so happy you chose to join us today and hope to also see you at Art Journal Journey.
