Today I'm joining Moo-Mania & More who asked us to Make it Feminine.
I have named her Painted Lady and the inspiration for the title
came from this can of paint (actually a button in a previous life) I used as the embellishment. The background was created using several glitter Crayola crayons.The focal image was a bookmark put out by the Smithsonian
and I scanned it so you can read the real name of the art and artist.
Today is Day 12 of AEDM, and I created a spread in my Challenges altered book for Moo-Mania & More.

ReplyDeletewell hello my friend, long time no see. It seems we lose touch until November, lol. I can't believe it took me until now to post to art everyday November. I promised myeslf I'd do better since I totally missed doin inktober. Grrr, not enough hours in the day! Lovely seeing you and your art again. I love Childe Hassam's paintings. Crocker Art, here in Sacramento, had two different exhibits a few years ago featuring American Impressionists, and that was when I discovered his work. Lovely paintings! I would love to see an exhibition featuring his work alone so that I could see more of them.

ReplyDeleteI love this piece. I also had never heard of Childe Hassam, and I am going to go look him up. I do love how you colored the background. :) I love crayons and that look they give you.
