Now it's time to share your drink related post this week. It can be photos, a place you visited, an empty cup, glass, or teapot, movies, videos, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink. Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit. Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken at any time, and don't even have to be taken this year!

Your thoughts are very important to Bleubeard and me. I appreciate it when you care enough to stop by and even more when you leave a short message letting me know you were here.

Sorry you didn't get what you wanted, although the restaurant looks a nice place. At least Sally went home full-up and contented. Pits nobody could spea English! Have a happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeletei love Thai Food and this really Looks yummy! but of course i have no idea why they consider chicken to be vegetarian?! well, i wish you more luck with the next Restaurant!
ReplyDeletehappy t-day:)
That restaurant would not be on my calling list again.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Sally's meal looked really delicious.
There is no excuse for serving chicken with a vegetarian meal, I'm afraid I would have been making a fuss at the table when it was served and for sure not paying as I didn't get what I ordered.
But, the real issue would be the non English speaking staff, I can really appreciate why you gave up trying to make them understand.
Happy Tea day wishes.
Yvonne xx
Though your meal looked delicious, sorry it wasn't to your liking. And too bad no lemon in the water though that might have been a blessing after I saw an article about how germy restaurant lemons are. The decor is very nice. Loved those blue and white dishes and the orchids stunning. Too bad the service wasn't better.
ReplyDeleteI love Thai food and it can be delicious as I'm sure you know, but it's too bad this one wasn't that. I guess the language barrier got in the way with the chicken. Maybe that's why it was so empty even though it was one of those odd food hours. Sorry to hear about your food. But Happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHow disappointing, Elizabeth. Thai food can be great, but language disconnects are not! I wrote about one today as well for today's party.
ReplyDeleteSometimes language disconnects are funny. As when my hubby ordered "camiones" (trucks) rather than "camerones" (shrimp). The waiter was great. He reminded me of the waiter in "Pretty Lady" when Julia Roberts sent the escargot sailing across the table.
Happy T-day. Hugs, Eileen
How disappointing for you - although it does look a beautiful setting to eat in! More on vegetarian menus in my post!! Happy T day! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteHow sad that they didn't even speak English well enough to understand an order. I wouldn't go back, either.
ReplyDeleteSad they did not understand what vegetarian means... normally I enjoy Thai food on occasion. I too would have been very disappointed. Restaurants can be so hit and miss. I will say that the bright fuschia colored orchid is stunning! TFS and happy T day!
ReplyDeleteWell at least the plants were beautiful... hate it when the orders aren't right.
ReplyDeleteIt's a disgrace that they are so nonprofessional there. I can understand that you were dissapointed.
ReplyDeleteBut nevertheless H A P P Y ♥ T - D A Y !!!!

The restaurant looked so promising too with the marvellous decor and plants 😁. What a disappointment, it's a shame they didn't understand what vegetarian was. Wishing you a very Happy T Day dear Elizabeth! J 😊
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous restaurant! Such a shame your experience wasn't so good! x
ReplyDeleteThat orchid is beautiful. Sorry the place turned out to be a disappointment. Communication seems to have been the problem with both your meal and the lemon. Thanks for thinking of during these NoCA fires. We're fine but I can't really watch the news, just brings our loss all back.
ReplyDeleteThe decor was cute...loved the orchid...too bad the food didn't measure up. Happy tday.
ReplyDeleteAaaawww ...how disappointing Elizabeth.... I have never tried Thai food... I'am loathe to spend the money and end up not liking it... lol Ofcourse thats the only way you try new things... I'm sure one day i will break down and do it.. You are right though.. lovely flowers.. :) Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteThe food looks good. I'm sorry they didn't seem to understand what "vegetarian" means. I guess it's the kind of place that makes no changes. "Take it or leave it". I've never had Thai food.
ReplyDeleteThat's the pits that you didn't enjoy your food all that much, Elizabeth. I'm a spice gal, so I need to have the flavors on my food. Those animals look pretty neat though, and I'll be it was fun to hang out with your friend for a little while. Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteNicely decorated but it sounds like a frustrating experience. Chicken on the veggie plate? Well, that makes no sense whatsoever. I wouldn't be inclined to return too quickly.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why you can't see the pics on my post...I did link up using my phone...do maybe I didn't do something right. But other commentors seem to be able to view them. Sorry for the problem...hope it can be fixed, but I won't be home in Ohio for a week! Thanks for the heads up...
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly an attractive place, and the table set up with ice water (no lemon!) is inviting. But the "chicken surprise" was a let down for sure. The meal was nicely presented, but still... the chicken. Too bad, because it looks like a place I'd want to visit more than once.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Elizabeth about your meal-it is really sad to me when people just do not listen-I go through the same thing with gluten free we rarely eat out any more. Your friends dish looked really delicious though
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day Kathy
Well, I'm finally getting my return visits made.....what a week!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your meal was not as advertised, does make one wonder what they think is vegetarian.
I was surprised that the flowers were real, beautiful!
Belated T-day wishes......almost time to post again....sheeeeesh!!!
