I've finally found time to create a spread for Valerie's wonderful Indian Summer challenge at Art Journal Journey.
My entry shows I'm not much of a stamper, and I only had one stamp I thought I could use. 
In case you can't read this (my green pen died at the end), it reads: “Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
~ Albert Camus.
This detail shows the one stamp I used.
Materials I used included lots of paint chips I cut up, one leaf stamp (wood mounted, but with no name or company), black Staz-on ink, copper pigment ink, and one green pen. This was created in my Coll-AH-ge Two altered book.Thanks for joining me with this AJJ entry of Indian Summer. I hope to see you there, too!

a gherkin is a pickle here too, it's just when the building was built (it's an office building) people thought it looked like a gherkin so the nickname stuck and it's all it gets called. glad you enjoyed the trip!!

Every time I go to Home Depot or Lowes or hardware stores I pick up paint chips. Then I never know what to do with them -- but you found a perfect project. (Actually, I probably have about a dozen of them taped to the wall in various parts of the house. Where they will probably stay for the next six months...

Inventive way to use the paint chips. I've made a few "paintings" with paint chips too, colourful and cheap!

ReplyDeleteI love the mosaic feel to this page. Very smart to used paint chips that way. And stamping that leaf really makes me think of all the colors on the trees and then the ground-we aren't at peak yet here in NH but our leaves are really starting to turn. I'm hoping to get out and do some "leaf peeping" this weekend. Hope all is well. Hugs-Erika
