I feel like I've been around the world, but in three, not 80 days, but more on those adventures another day. So this entry seemed perfect for
Try it on Tuesday's Transport theme for this fortnight.

I was inspired by
Chrissie's TioT entry where she used copies of postage stamps. Mine are not as pristine as hers, because mine have all been through the USPS and have those horrible cancellation marks on them. But I used them anyway.

I went through all my postage stamps and found a few that I could use for Planes and Trains.

The next group was not as easy to classify, but since they all had wheels, I thought they were great examples of various forms of transportation.

Finally, the automobiles are represented. As I was deconstructing the slides, I found one that had a girl with an automobile in the background, so I used it, too.

One final look, where I used paint, pan pastels, and chalk to color the deconstructed slide mounts. I backed the postage stamps with failed gelli paper, then added the individual postage stamps of various denominations.
I'll try to catch up with everyone tomorrow, but for now, be aware I'm very grateful for your continued support of my art and your visits. And please don't forget to visit, and join me if you like, at
Try it on Tuesday where you'll find wonderful mixed media inspiration on transport.
Beautiful page. I always like real stamps with cancellation marks, it shows they have really traveled. You have used a nice selection. Thanks for joining us at TIOT, hugs, Valerie
