Today I'm joining the very talented mixed media artists at
Try it on Tuesday, or TioT whose theme this fortnight is Letters and Numbers, as well as
Moo-Mania and More whose theme is Anything Goes.

In my Coll-AH-ge Too altered book, I added this entry. In a previous life, I was a math, physics, mechanical engineer, and statistics person, so adding numbers in my head was an easy task.

That's what gave me the idea to create this entry. In case you can't read my handwriting, it reads: "She added the numbers in her head."

These are obviously some of the numbers she added.

She has a good head on her shoulders, that 's for sure.

This page started with some chalk paints I found when I was looking for watercolors that were not Twinkling H2Os. These are actually paint pens I'd never used, and it took awhile for the paint to flow into the nibs. They didn't blend as well as I'd hoped, but they finally flowed better. It's probably obvious I started at the top, and was able to blend them using my finger toward the bottom of the page.
Other supplies included various numbers from several sticker sets and a woman's head I fussy cut from a decade old fashion magazine.

I can't figure out how to add this image to my right sidebar now that Blogger insists that you include a
title when adding web images only, but not when there's html/JavaScript
third-party functionality code. Since I'm trying to keep my sidebars as clutter free as possible, I need to figure out how to add this now that Blogger rules changed about a year ago (Any help with the code would be greatly appreciated).
Regardless, please visit
Try it on Tuesday and
Moo-Mania and More, where the art is always inspirational. And thanks for visiting me today, too!
A wonderful collage Elizabeth!

ReplyDeleteLove your entry for TIOT and Moo Mania and More, thanks for entering both challenges. I was never a numbers person! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis is a great collage E!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I am sad to see so many young people that can't add numbers in their heads! I am no mathematician but the one thing I can do is add numbers in my head! I love the way you have made your background and so pleased you have entered the Try It On Tuesday challenge! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteLove it.....
ReplyDeleteA fantastic page for the TioT's theme. Its such a shame when the youngsters now reach out for a calculator. What ever happened to a pencil and paper.
ReplyDeleteSorry I cannot help with a code for the badge, for blog technicalities I need all the help I can get.

She's not only a smart gal if she can do all the math in her head, but she is a beauty too!
ReplyDeleteLove this, great page, the numbers thing would do me in every time... never been very happy around them... whilst almost every job I have ever had was money or numbers... LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is really fun!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAs I was once a machinist, numbers were definitely a part of my head/thinking. :) Love the page! The Girls and I are finally enjoying some sun and warmth. The rest of the week will be very cold for FL and more rain. Have a fabulous week, Elizabeth. Hugs to all from me and the Girls
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth-
ReplyDeleteOf course you can add me to your side bar! I think I need to start a side bar and add people to it....once I do I will definitely add you! Hope its a great weekend so far!
I stand in awe...a numbers person. My brother is too. Unfortunately, I am so not.
ReplyDeleteI tried to get rid of my titles on blogger and ran into the same problem.....I still have the titles.
Have a wonderful Sunday, Elizabeth and Bleubeard.

Thanks goodness I still can add numbers in my head, so many that can't!!! Adorable page, love that gal, she's got spunk. xox
ReplyDeleteA wonderful collage, I love the idea for your inspiration. I always loved metal arithmetic at school and it always amazes me when I see young people adding the simplest of sums on a calculator -
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us at TioT
