Sunday Morning Ritual

I'm once again joining Valerie our host this month for Art Journal Journey's challenge, which is collage.

This is an abstract collage I made using pieces that were sitting in my scrap box.  They are pieces left over from recent art projects I've made to which I've added a few words from a magazine.  This mixed media collage was created from various papers, painted papers, magazine, old phone book page, scrapbook paper, a small piece of my handmade paper, and two markers.

This spread is for Art Journal Journey's collage (with journaling) challenge.  Join me there, if you like collage.  And thanks for dropping by today to share my Sunday morning ritual!

  1. Love your collage, and the sentiment. I think we can do all we really want to do. Rituals are important, too, to give our days structure. Thanks for joining us again at Art Journal Journey, and have a great Sunday. Hugs, Valerie

  4. My eye went right to the green textured material you used. And all the bits of your painted papers... and the text paper. So much to enjoy looking at in this piece! Scrap collections are wonderful, aren't they? But my collection overfloweth much of the time!

  7. I love the positive message here - this is a wonderful abstract page! I am very much in agreement about rituals and traditions - it was especially funny to find that my SIL in France and I share the same ideas on so many things but then we did share a bedroom most weekends for around 4 years and we both knew each others parents! 8. Love the look and feel of this collage. A bit minimalist and very clean. But the quote is great, and how true! Too bad we forget that so often!
