Happy Father's Day (US)

Today is Father's Day in the United States.  Too bad it has to compete with the summer/winter solstice.   Even though I have no father to celebrate with, I am honoring all those fathers out there with this tribute.

First up is a tribute I created on my daily index card.  You'll see this and the rest of this week's entries on Friday.

Next up is a spread I created in one of my altered books that celebrates the masculine side of masculine/feminine, the Art Journal Journey challenge for June.

Since my AB is slightly larger than my scanner, I showed both sides.

Materials used were gesso, gray Staz-on, sticker letters, red ink pen, and an image I reworked.

Don't forget to visit Art Journal Journey for many more June entries, including my other two, #s 38 and 89.  Thanks, too for your very kind remarks.  And so I don't forget, T Stands For Tuesday will post at its normal time of 4:00 pm CDT (GMT -5) Monday afternoon.

  4. Your AJJ page is super cute and your tribute well thought out. I popped in, partly to say thank you very much for your lovely comments and to suggest that you could do a colourfully sprayed background and then group some stamps in the centre and do a one-staple collage, but I find you have used a similar idea on your father's day card, haha.
    Have good one ::o))
