For those of you who have been here this week, and know I don't have access to my internet or PhotoShop, I just want to point out this is a scheduled post.
Halloween is over, and Thanksgiving is in the offing. The decorations have been put away, and 
it's time to start decorating for Thanksgiving. I will use my new bath towelettes that compliment my bird theme bath. I will also get out some definite autumn inspired scented votive candles to use in different rooms.
But possibly the most important thing tea wise, is the set of dishes I always pull out and use between Thanksgiving and Christmas. They belonged to my grandmother, who had several beautiful sets of
dishes far more elegant than these, but these were her favorite for
Thanksgiving and Christmas. The pattern is called "Ye Olde Curiosity
Shoppe," and I have shown the entire set on my blog before, even though the photos are rather bad. In a way, these pieces really DO remind me of these two holidays, so I continue the tradition.Now it's your turn to show your T post. Just add your T related link. Lovely to use some of your gran's things. The old Curiosity shop is one of my favourite Dickens books. It will make you cry! Love your decorating bits and pieces
ReplyDeleteIt's maddening not to have Internet - thank goodness you have friends to lend you theirs! I love your grandma's service..as you know. The towlettes are really sweet, not often you see cross stitch on such things now. My link is a bit tenuous but really, I was on a tea break!

We have nothing like Thanksgiving here in UK - we seem to have picked up on the Halloween habit pretty well though - wish it was the other way round - there's so much to be thankful for! Can you guess I'm not a great Halloween fan? Hope you get fixed soon - I totally understand how you feel - we used to get a reply good signal at our caravan and would take the laptop so I could blog, e-mail etc - no point now…..!! Hugs, Chrisxx
