Day 6 of 30 paintings in 30 days

For day 6 of 30 paintings in 30 days, I'm joining Leslie Saeta at Slices of Life

with this latest entry.  I started this one by pouring various colors of paint over the substrate, then turning and twisting the piece.  It didn't run as well as I would have liked, so I took a palette knife and moved the paint around.  Since this is Day 6, I'm calling it "Six degrees of separation."  There are also six predominant colors in this: black, turquoise, pink, orange, green, and beige.

Thanks as always for your continued support.  You have NO IDEA how grateful I am for each of you and your kind comments.

  2. Bold and beautiful! I can imagine this one was fun to do.

Boy did I have a good smile last night when I went to read your comment--which strangely, I could read! When I mentioned it to DH he said try holding it up to the mirror which I did, but nope, that didn't do it. But I was able to read it anyway--strange how the brain works!

  5. 30 paintings in 30 days--what a great project! I went back on your blog and looked at your previous five paintings, too. It seems like a lot of fun to play with different abstract techniques. This particular painting is my favorite of yours so far. I just really love all the energy and movement in it.

  6. I think you have a real talent for the abstract. I think you should consider entering these in a show, or maybe having a booth/tent at a craft fair. Somebody would buy these, definitely!
