Friday Smiles 68: In the Garden
It's the start of another weekend, and time for Friday Smiles, hosted by Annie at A Stitch in Time. This week it's all about the flower garden.
Just as the tulips are dying in the garden,
the Irises are beginning to bloom. I'm sure they'll be around for a few days (and smiles) anyway.

Beautiful colour on your irises. I do love irises. I wanted them in my bouquet but it would have made it look a little patriotic (red and white!).

ReplyDeleteYou're going to have some fabulous purple iris! I miss them as they won't grow this far south. Guess they need that cold ground to go fully dormant. Hugs

Totally envious.... we have rain today and just got rid of the cold and snow two days ago....sigh..... it's either getting frozen off or rained out.... can't win!
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, your irises are a beautiful colour ... they so remind me of my late mother - irises were her favourite spring flower. They are on my wish list for a border that is planned but not yet dug. Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteAlways made me sad when my tulips were done...therefore...I have planted none at this house. :)
ReplyDeleteI did see tulips in a container today...beautiful planter. I'd never have thought to do that before!!
Beautiful iris!!! Mine are starting to bloom too and I'm very happy ! I'll be posting pictures soon on my garden blog.
