Many of you can probably guess who the party animal is in my house. He's also the party animal of this blog, and the subject of this week's prompt. Note his cool party hat. Yep, he's ready to party with the best of them, even though the hat barely fits his ears.
I used the same image Kathy drew for me. Doesn't she do excellent work? I love how he looks in this pose. The substrate for this page was one of my file folders cut in half. I splashed some blue paint on the page and added the word "Party" and the number "15" to signify this was the 15th Journal 52 prompt.
For the hat, I used a large paint chip sample I cut to size and attempted to stamp on. The words are "celebrate" and "shine," which Bleubeard is doing at the moment. It's fairly obvious I can't stamp, and this paint chip was especially difficult to get a good image because of its slippery surface. To complete the hat, I added a small strip of rick rack I got at the thrift store some years ago.
This is Day 14 of 22, where I recycled a file folder, and repurposed a paint chip sample. Sometimes recycling can be incorporated in many ways, including challenges you (and I) enter each week. Thanks for visiting, because this is the only place you'll see my genuine Party Animal.
I love the theme and it's perfect for your party animal Bleubeard!! Great job on it and using paint chips, I like to punch flowers out of mine.
ReplyDeleteFun! I bet you know how to party too though. ;)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments on my journal pages, and I'm glad the box reached you. I don't know how you can "wait" to open it. I'm not so good at waiting myself. (grin)
Hi, I popped into poundland at the weekend but they had no paint pads (aka Shaz' cheap Stampin' Up stamp cleaner!!)...but I did find you one else where.....if you let me know your address I will happily pop it in the post along with a WOYWW ATC if you'd like one.
