this wonderful quote by Mark Twain.
It also fits with my philosophy of standing up against biased, bitter bullies who preach their horrible, hateful beliefs. So this quote really resonated with me.
My file folders are often larger than my scanner, which means I usually cut off the tab. However, this week, I positioned the file folder so I could capture the "CB 6," which of course, stands for the sixth challenge.
I was hoping to show some of the shimmer from my handmade shimmer mists, but the scanner simply couldn't pick up the glimmer of the mica powders. The details: file folder substrate, covered with various handmade shimmer mists, portions of a road map, colored paper with computer generated words.
Once again, I was able to visit everyone last month, although I cannot leave comments on those who choose to use Facebook, since I'm not a member. However, I did look and admire those two entries.
Edit:
Great travel folder, Elizabeth, and a powerful quote.
ReplyDeleteI love the use of maps in collage work. Whether you make them up yourself or use preexisting ones, they add a nice element to the piece.
ReplyDeleteIt is a-shame when the photo doesn't quite match what your eye sees.
Have a great Sunday!

Love the quote and the use of the maps. Scanners just can't do all of things we'd like them to do :) Even just gloss finishes do not scan well. ...but the folder looks great even if we can't see the glimmer !
ReplyDeleteOh this is great!!! I love the map for the background for this quote....perfect!
ReplyDeleteI have both GDs tonight, get one to school in the morning and the other for the rest of the day.

Hope to get to do T-day tomorrow and then work on the CB challenge.
