What's On Your Workdesk 228: The one where she returns to the fold

I'm thrilled to be back visiting all my WOYWW friends and Julia, our beloved host and Queen of the Deskers.  And then I noticed her link is up, so I'm heading there now.

On my desk, you'll note I'm trying to make up for lost time by finishing some Halloween cards I made several weeks ago.  They are now ready to mail.  I sewed pages from an old Somerset magazine Halloween edition into envelopes.

I'm sure many of you stopped by to see if there would be a rocking horse, and this one is new to me.  I picked it up at the thrift store about a week ago.  I can't walk by a rocking horse and leave it alone, especially since it was less than $1.00 (USD)

WOYWWendy is not hiding her head in shame, but doing a back flip to hide a wood project I recently finished, but am not yet ready to show.

Feel free to join Julia at Stamping Ground for links to other Deskers.  We all appreciate your visit.

  25. Great to see you and Bluebeard back! I love your pics! That rocking horse looks like a wonderful find! He's a really traditional looking one! I love what you did with the sewing of the Halloween images. Somerset Magazine is gorgeous, but I do resist the temptation to buy magazines! Maybe though, if they can be recycled like this...Have a great WOYWW! Julie Ann xx #45

  27. Great idea for the Halloween envelopes, I think I might have spotted one of the cards over at Spyders. Tell Wendy to be careful, she could do herself a mischief with those back flips.

  33. Ah Elmers. I miss it. I've not found a PVA glue here in the UK that works as well - most of them are all gloopy and stringy. And the rocking horse is a winner too...wasn't that the name of a short story? The Rocking Horse Winner? and I think I've already seen that card someplace....
    Happy WOYWW!

Genius ides for the envelopes... Having just recycled about three years worth of mags, I'm slightly kicking myself!!
