Recycled file folders and homemade mica spray inks

Today I'm going to use some of the homemade mica spray mists I made on Monday.  I'm combining some natural elements with a plastic doily my friend Kathy and I found on a trip to the thrift store, along with a recycled file folder.

Once again, this was a simple task.  I'm trying to keep these posts not just brief for you to read, but also for me to make.  I've already aligned the pieces the way I want to spray them.

I sprayed my mica mist and allowed it to dry.  I tried to wipe the sprayed side of the doily on the other side of the file folder, but it didn't want to cooperate very much.

I'm not a person who can draw, but I tried to freehand a few leaves using a black 0.5 Zig pen, after which I added pink mica spray through a piece of  large hole punchinella (sequin waste).

I have no immediate plans for this repurposed file folder, which I cut in half, but I assure you, I will use it before Earth Day.

Today is Day 3 leading up to Earth Day and I kept a file folder from the landfill.

  2. This came out very nice, very organic looking. These "R" posts are a treat! I tried the coffee idea from yesterday, mine came out sort of blah though - and I used strong coffee.
