Since I'm now back on my regular schedule, I had to get up early this morning to have tea. While making it, I thought I would start a few bird assemblages
So I got out my foam mat I use for stamping, and my ice pick. I could have used my self healing mat, but since I push the pick quite far to expand the hole in the tin, it often leaves a hole in the self healing mat.
Of course, I actually had a deeper purpose for drinking this loose leaf tea called Fancy Tropicana, which begins with Ceylon black tea, to which marigold petals, thistle, rose petals, cornflowers, and mallow flowers are added. I wanted to see if I could tell my fortune. Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, one of the things my guests and I discussed was whether you can look at tea leaves and see your fortune. My problem was, I had so many leaves and flowers in that mug, I had to remove some of the petals before I could get to the tea leaves.
What a fun post Elizabeth...your bird assemblages are wonderful...our local mixed media group keeps meaning to play with some of those again
