WOYWW 161: the vacation edition

Don't bother knocking. There's no one to answer the doorbell. Please don't call. I'm out the door. I won't be available for a few days, although I have posts ready so you don't get too bored while I'm gone. I'm just warning you that I won't be around to visit, because where I'm going there is no internet. Heck, there aren't even any phones. Just lots of fireworks (after all, it is Independence Day in the US), blue skies, and water (as in at the lake).

So please visit Julia at Stamping Ground for desks, not doors. However, now that you're here, if you haven't entered my blogoversary giveaway, please go here and do that now. There's no obligation or hoops. Just a simple comment is all you need to leave.

By the way, my internet and computer are still not working, so I have someone who is "supposed" to link me up today. And again, forgive me for not visiting. I had hoped to have this little (actually BIG) problem fixed by now.

  3. Wow! No internet and no phones! I didn't know there was any place like that in the US (except where there are are storms or fires! like what's happening in parts of the US now, which is terrible!) Have a happy vacation, Elizabeth, and tell us all about it when you get back! Patsy from

  5. Have a wonderful vacation. The lake sounds like fun. I Hope you get that computer problem fixed. I know what it is like to be unconnected. My computer died a year ago and I had to save for a new one. It took months. I so missed blogging. #17

  6. The lake sounds wonderful. Fireworks are cancelled here due to dry weather (and all the wildfires throughout the state).

  30. Have a great time Ellizabeth ;-) As a line dancer I'll be joining in a little 4th July celebration at the dance class tonight. We all take some food and most people will be wearing something red, white and blue - I'm going to print off 2 mini American flags to attach to a headband :-)
Your porch looks just the place for a good time; it must be lovely having an outdoor space like that to sit; (I mean with it having a roof). I'd love to see a bigger pic of your rusty house, it looks fabulous.
