I'm in a bit of a hurry this week. I hope
Julia at
Stamping Ground, the Grand Dame of the Links, understands because this is Thanksgiving weekend and some of my company has already arrived. So I'll try to be quick because

last week
Crafty Womble asked what the difference was between my two craft areas. The functions used to be a LOT different, but now the lines are starting to blur. For example, I sew everything in this room, and originally kept my fabric here until I increased the number of shelves I have in the basement hallway.

All collages and most painting is done in this room. It is also the room where I store my handmade paper.

As much as I
HATE MOD PODGE, I seem to have been given quite a bunch of it. I keep it out of sight in my basement studio.

The actual use of this space was originally intended for making assemblages and storing all my jewelry findings and embellishments.

Sorry if this mask freaks a few of you. I have gotten so used to it, I don't even notice it's there.

As promised last week, I said I would show where my "glue tower" went. This old photo is from 2009, and the dresser, ruined by the flood, was quite sturdy that it originally sat on.

Then the dresser got replaced with some very cheap shelves that were not as strong as the ones I bought for the hallway. Can you see the "leaning tower" of glue is about to topple onto the floor?

Well, here it is in the hallway, it's new home. At least the table is sturdy and solid.

You can see where the people who installed the sheetrock cut the wires to the phone line. It's a good thing I don't need a telephone outlet anymore.

I've now returned to the main floor and glued and sewed a few rusty bits (most of the embellishments that had been hanging out on my table earlier in the day) together for a project I am making for a challenge later in the week.
So I'm not sure I answered Crafty Womble's question, but at least I had something on one of my worktables this week! But now I must stir the baked beans, bake the yams, boil potatoes, and start the green bean casserole. I may have British ancestors, but Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I begin at least a day, often two days, before the event to get everything ready for the Thanksgiving bash. Since I still have some last minute food and drink purchases to make today, I won't be around much until the end of the weekend. But I hope each person has a great weekend and if you live in the States, a very lovely, safe and
THANKFUL Thanksgiving.
I have to admit, I must have a huge amount of noseyness in me as I love to poke about in your house. It has so many interesting spots in it!!
