A pitcher of oranges

I'm taking it outside again this week with a see through pitcher of orangeade. The weather has once again turned hot and nasty. My orange drink is made just like lemonade, only with oranges. A bit of sugar, water, orange pulp, and orange slices, to which I added ice, were all I needed for this fun drink for Tea Tuesday.

Join Kimmie and all my tea (or other fun) drinking friends and see what they are up to this week. I bet the people in the center of the country (like me) are still scorching, although some of us had a slight bit of rain, which was a great reprieve. Now the heat is back on, so I'm taking it to my basement today to unpack a few more boxes, after I serve some icy goodness to you, my dear guests, of course.

  1. The pitcher is so colorful, looks like just the thing for a hot day. We make lemonade all the time, now I'll try orangeade.

  2. I should be having something cool but am actually having hot tea at the moment. It is hot (110 F) and dusty and I have such a headache. I think a long drink of cold water is needed.

I like how your Inspiration Avenue project turned out. Good luck unpacking. Tammy

  6. I think I prefer your orange drink to a lemonade version any day and what a pretty pitcher you have for the job!! We had a humungous thunderstorm yesterday which cooled things down... the thunder actually shook my house... today it once more hot and sunny... not as hot as you are getting though!!

  7. Orange-ade is a great alternative - I had never thought of that. Probably needs less sugar too! Your pitcher is beautiful! Anything would taste delicious in a thing as colorful as that!

I hope cooler weather is on the way for you........at least you have a cool basement to work in, happy unpacking. I love that feeling when every thing is put away tidily in their new home. xx

  11. What a cheerful pitcher! I hope your weather takes a turn down and you get to enjoy some cool evenings as we are in the southeast right now. I've been missing your posts since my class was last week but will take time today to catch up. So nice to be back having tea (or lemonade) with you today Elizabeth.

  13. Love the idea of Orangeade as I am apparently one of the few who really doesn't care for Lemonade.

  15. This is so awesomely refreshing. We had one perfect day a week ago, and the rest has been same old same old: hazy, hot, humid!
