Muffins and orphans

Today, after the long and ridiculously hot weekend, I'm back in my much cooler dining room with a few orphans. Orphans, (coined by Nathalie, another Tea Tuesday participant), because nothing matches except the place-mat and napkin which remind me of May flowers. What a perfect way to end the month of May. I'm having green tea from a cup that has no saucer, and and a saucer that has no matching cup. On the royal blue plate are two banana apple (or is that apple banana?) muffins I made yesterday using small cake pans.

Can you believe this year is nearly half over? I sure can't. Be sure to visit Kimmie for the links to other Tea Tuesday participants, although I still can't leave a comment to anyone who doesn't have a pop-up window, regardless what I try. And please stay for a muffin, if you like. I have plenty.

  6. Apple and banana muffins sound delicious ... And I have three brown bananas waiting to be baked into SOMETHING :)

Muffins and orphans is such a sweet title to your post. Oliver Twist would surely be asking for more .... And I am certain your kind hearted self would happily oblige him!

I don't know about your commenting troubles .... I think blogger is still suffering some bugs since their Friday the thirteenth challenges. Hope things get straightened out soon!!

Happy Tuesday and stay cool and out of any storms!

  12. Hi Elizabeth, happy Tea Tuesday, those muffins sound and look delish. Your weather sounds very crazy at the moment, I hope you are no where near those horrendous tornados. No tea post from me again this week, but I love visiting you gals and I do love your beautiful place mat and napkin and I also love that your cup has found a friend and that your saucer is no longer lonely.
