WOYWW # 68: Rusted papers and fabric revisited

Once again (six weeks in a row) I made it around to every desk last week, even though I had to go back on Friday to find the ones that were added on Thursday. This time busting madness (collaboration) snoop is the brainchild of Julia at Stamping Ground and has now brought blogging friends from all over the globe to my blog. Thank you Julia and thank you all. And I promise to try to remember my link up number this week, something we were supposed to start last week.

Many of you requested to see how I planned to use the fabric and paper I rusted over the past two weeks, so

I tried, really I did. I simply could not make this photo any better. This is the best I could do with the available light. It's a 3 ring binder that will be used to hold some Round Robin pages. Wendy is peeking out from behind. Click to enlarge.

Also on my desk is one of my latest acquisitions. I bought 5 rocking horses from a friend last week for $2.00. She collects them, but is moving and got rid of the ones she didn't want. If you look closely, you might even see one of two on the window sill. They are candle holders and have been there a long time.

This is a much better picture of the cover, which is as yet not finished, but not a very good photo of my table. I still have lots of layering and embellishing to do, but all the sewing is finished, and the background is glued in place. Both rusted fabric and rusted paper were sewn to corrugated cardboard I had pre-painted with various glazes to resemble rust.

And finally, last week Jo asked about the "piggy" draped on the gesso on my table. Well, it was WOYWWendy lying down on the job. I guess her arms and feet do resemble those of a little piggy, although Wendy was none too flattered by the remark.

This week I am spotlighting Sarah another WOYWW player who chooses to Craft Among the Land Rovers, which also corresponds to the name of her blog. I know Sarah also visited everyone last week because I followed her around most of the evening (mine, not hers) last Wednesday as we visited the various blogs. I've always enjoyed visiting her blog because she talks about and photographs road rallies, Land Rovers, and Mokes (I hope that's plural for Moke) while making cards and beautiful scrapbook spreads, sometimes out of the back of a camper/caravan. So be sure to visit Sarah today. After all, if you participated, she visited you last week!
