WOYWW55

Since about all I've been doing this week is dealing with my Arches swap and last Saturday's ultimate studio snoop, I have no WIP to show. Or do you gals call them UFOs? Either way, my work table would look pretty pathetic were it not for

this colorful tissue, lovely card and tag, and empty envelope with a British flag. HMMM. Wonder what it is!!

Do you see it?

How about now? Yep, it's my very own WOYWW easel made by no other than Mr. Dunnit and sent to me by the lovely Julia Dunnit of Stamping Ground, where we all go to get the links to the other WOYWW players.

I was simply thrilled beyond words (and that's pretty hard for me). I had to test it out by placing a canvas collage sent to me by my dear friend Cindy. The easel held it perfectly.

It also held a mixed media postcard I created awhile back.

Wendy gave her seal of approval and two big thumbs up. She thinks it's her long lost second cousin from Wiltshire.

No matter what gets placed in it,

or where it sits, this lovely WOYWW easel will stay in my craft room and in my heart forever. Thank you Julia (and Mr. D, too).

And in case you missed the ultimate studio snoop this last weekend, here is a photo of when I was straightening up my basement studio shelves and hanging one of my clothes lines. I need a taller ladder before I can hang the one in the upstairs craft room. Happy WOYWW everyone!

Way back on May 12, when I was still new to WOYWW, I featured Wipso as my blogger of the day. Today I am featuring her sister, Twiglet. Like her sister, Twiglet has a great following. She has a dumfing machine like her sister, and she makes just about anything in fabric or yarn. Twiglet takes some pretty neat photos of her surroundings, too. Don't you just LOVE seeing photos from the UK? Twiglet shares some pretty special ones. So be sure and stop by her lovely studio today. I bet she has something pretty special on her work desk.

  1. Oh you're welcome...we went on the William Morris principle that it had to be useful and beautiful, and for us, if it's made from a nice wood..it's lovely. I love the washing line, I need a zoom lens!

So that's what I saw on Julia's desk. So glad Wendy approves, it is fantastic :-) I love your mixed media postcard. As for WIPs and UFOs I think a WIP is just that, whereas a UFO is something part done but left and not gone back to for some time but with lurking intentions of completing it when we get 'a round tuit'.

  43. Elizabeth-popped back to explain about Card Candy. It's a circle of card that has been shaped-you can do it yourself by using a ball tool and a mouse mat(upside down). It resembles a tiny shallow bowl and is great instead of a brad or for flower centres-anyway my pal Sue who runs Craftwork Cards in the UK found a way of manufacturing these in lots of gorgeous colours and Card Candy was born. I am always trying to think of new ways of using it! Beats thinking about "why am I here" and such like questions. By the way love to Wendy. BettyXXX

  55. Ok, last one before bed! Back to say - no problem about the easel..I sent them out in 3 waves because there were 102 of them and becasue Mr D could only make them when the machines weren't tied up for real work; so I asked the first 'wave' of recipients to keep them a secret until they saw mine on my desk..just to give most people a chance to get theirs....so not a problem at all! The tissue paper, btw, was from Paperchase. Am actually a bit bowled over at the reaction to the easels...will post about it, naturally!!

  56. thanks for stopping by my desk! The orange thing you asked about is my paper trimmer. It's quite fabulous :D

  61. Just popped back to answer your questions!
The green thingy is a Scor-mat (healing mat one side, vinyl work mat the other) and it's sitting on my Scor-Pal. I must admit to using my bone folder ALL the time.
