T Stands For What's Brewing?

Last week I told you I lost a lot of data when I turned the computer on.  I used the wrong verbiage.  I lost all my tabs that separated my various interests.  For example, the first tab holds my blog and all my challenge blogs I visit daily or weekly.  That tab I was able to reproduce easily because most of the information is on my right sidebar.

Then there's my tab on murals in Wichita.  I was keeping track of where they were, the addresses, the names, etc.  Although I'm missing some, I've been able to restore most of those, too.

It's all the other tabs that I've lost and can't be found, like projects I want to try for my Second Thursday Tutorial, projects I want to make for Christmas, and projects referring to recycling.  My friend Scott told me I should have clicked on something like renew or restore when I rebooted.  When I didn't that's why I lost everything.  It was MY fault and no one else's.  Luckily none of my bookmarks are lost, so I'm hoping they might help me restore a few of the missing files.  And thankfully, both sidebar icons are still here.  Now to our regularly scheduled post.

I decided to post something a bit different for T Tuesday because for the first time in over a month, I don't have an ATC to share.

Although we're once again meeting at my dining room table,

this time I'm joining Alison, who we know as Craftytrog, our host this month at Art Journal Journey with her Pockets and Tags.  For this entry, I have once again used both a pocket and a tag in my spread.

You can see where I got the name of the post title, "What's Brewing."  I loved the image I found in a magazine showing a cappuccino in a cup sitting on a bed of coffee beans.  As you can see, the tag started out with a gifted die cut. To complete the tag, I ran a chalk pen around the edges and the hole.

For this page I created in my Scraps altered book, I first laid down a sheet of thick yellow card stock.  Next, I used the stencil in two places that Mia sent me.  The first one turned out great.  I used a walnut ink dauber.  The second time I stenciled the image, I turned it over after I had carefully cleaned it, at which time I added the image a second time.  This time, I must have pressed too hard on the dauber because the ink spread under the stencil.  I knew I had to cover it in some way, so I found the largest used tea bag I had.  I then stamped arrows on the tea bag using Staz-on before affixing the tea bag to the substrate and covering as best I could, my mistake.  To finish, I added the sentiment from various magazines in ransom style letters.

I hope you will join us for T Tuesday and also visit Art Journal Journey

I realize this is a week early, but I want to remind everyone to be digging up your Second on the 2nd posts.  I fear if I wait until next week, it will be too late.  Please remember, the only requirement is it must have been published previously on your blog.

Now it's your turn to share your T entry this week.  The rules are extremely simple.  Your drink related post may be anything from a photo of a glass, cup, or mug, to an actual drink.  You may choose to share a sketch or a digital, hybrid, or traditional page in your scrapbook, art journal, or altered book.  Maybe you'd prefer to share a tag, or wow us with your photography.  You might choose a postcard, decorated card, or magazine image.  You might even draw an image on a used tea bag.  Or perhaps you prefer to review a place you visited, a movie, or book.  It makes no difference as long as it's drink related.  And don't forget that the more unique and outside the box it is, the better we like it.  Please tie it back here, and please link only to your T post, not your entire blog.  When you link, Bleubeard, the T gang, and I will be by to visit.   Bleubeard would also like to remind you that your photos may be taken any time, even months or years ago, if you choose.

This is a page after my own heart - anything with coffee or cappuccino has to be good, and you made this one really well. Hope you find the rest of your lost info. My mail programme 'exploded' today and now I can't find anything....Happy T Day, Valerie

Now that you mention cappuccino, I'm thinking that it's been 6 months since I had any such beverages. Coffee, yes, every morning. But that occasional trip to the coffee shop? One of many things that's not in my life as I'm living it now. So I like your art work, a reminder of "before."

be well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com

I'm sorry you've had all those computer woes. What a nightmare!
Happy T-Day.

I am on vacation, Elizabeth, with no internet access but I managed to see your post. Well, I love your stenciled cup. As for the second one, you did a perfect job covering it with the tag. I love your page. Kisses, my friend. If I manage to find internet again, I will join you.

I hope I haven't given you too much of a shock to get here actually before T day starts (in one minute) I love this page Elizabeth. We won't be having a cappuccino this week but do have plans for next week!
So sorry to hear of your computer shenanigans. I have no idea what I would have done - probably lost the lot!!! Happy T Day - it is now one minute past midnight, Hugs, Chrisx

Super page! Would have looked amazing in my coffee AB. *grin*
Computer issues are always such a pain...even more painful when you learn you could have prevented yourself a bit of headache. UGH!
Happy T day my friend!

I am an expert at having my media get underneath my stencil. I guess that makes me a sloppy artist. Smile. But I love your page and the coffee theme is perfect for T day. and nice pocket too. It works great with the photo image tag. Have a super T day my friend. Hugs-Erika

What a great page in your altered book. I really like that coffee cup stencil that you used in the background.
That is so disappointing that you lost everything but its good to hear that you didn't loose all your bookmarks.

Happy Tea Day,
Kate

What a great page, I like the balance of the layout. You made a great save covering up the stencil that wasn't to your liking. I would have just looked at the color as a tie in to the stencil used in the upper right. You are very clever!

Anything about coffee is grand with me--LOL!
I hate when computer tragedy strikes. Was hard to even hear about it since I've had disasters like that myself. I hope you get more of your data recovered over time. *hugs*

Guess what, I drive Ingo nuts taking ads we get every Saturday and cutting out pics of food/whatever I might use later (he has no understanding of this whatsoever) - LOL, I so learn from you!
Sadly coofee and I don´t brew up.

Yes, that´s the worst, when you mess up something on the PC and it´s, dammit, your very own fault to top it off! I´m with you!
And then Ingo sits here and boy.... he has patience (and knowledge, it´s FUN for him to repair anything)...

I hope you're able to recover the rest of your tab information. A happy page, today, and by using the teabag (even though it wasn't in your first design), you included us tea drinkers in What's Brewing. 😺 Happy T Day.

Lovely artwork Elizabeth. I meant to say last week that I was sorry about you losing your tabs and links to data. Was that on your computer itself, or your blog? I'm a little unsure from you saying something about Scott saying you needed to click Restore after Reboot. Anyway, I hope you're able to get most / all of your data back. I'll be back later to leave comments for everyone. I'm still sore from all of the work doing the storm clean up, which I'm happy to say is finally done.

You can't beat coffee pieces:) And the yellow background sets everything off.
I wouldn't have known about the restore/renew either.
Stay safe. Stay healthy.

I'm doing laundry, visiting you AND drinking my cream with a little coffee(lol), so this is perfect post for me today! So sorry to hear about your files. There's nothing worse than having something like that happen when we put so much on computers these days. I'm just thrilled that you're back online. Hugs and more hugs, RO

Clever use of a teabag in a related post. Well done for thinking that one out. It makes for an interesting page.
So sorry to hear of your computer and the lossses of so many things you had earmarked for using later. I can well imagine the frustration you are going through trying to remember some of the sites.
Here's hoping some come back to you.
Hugs, Neet xx
