Beauty

I'm joining the talented Alison who many of you know as Craftytrog,

who is our host this month at Art Journal Journey with her theme Pockets and Tags.

I named this spread "Beauty."

I think she fits the bill.

For this page, I started by gluing a sheet of German text to the altered book page using a glue stick.  I cut all the tags from recycled used file folders on my guillotine cutter.  Sadly, my cutter doesn't cut everything exactly straight each time.  I layered the tags, one on top of the other.  I colored every other tag using walnut ink.  Each of the tags was glued to the next tag using glue dots so they would stand away from each other tag.  I stamped the word "beauty" using black Staz-on ink.  To complete the tags, I added hole reinforcers, then a TH paper doll who I thought looked like she might be from Germany.

Thanks so very much for joining Bleubeard and me today, and we hope to also see you at Art Journal Journey

Pretty tag and a nice page of German text about three sisters in the woods. Have a great day, Valerie

Who needs a cutter that cuts straight Elizabeth people would pay lots of money for one that cuts distressed and quirky.. she's a pretty wee lassie, love how you layered the tags up.
Wishing you a super weekend, hope to get some crafty time myself this one, if little Freya can keep away from those wasps hee hee.. Hugs Tracey xx

Very pretty! I like the understated colors a lot!, and the German text has me wondering what it says. Hmmmm....just read the first comment about the text. Now I wonder about the three sisters in the woods story!

Well done ... the little girl reminds me of someone from Germany and you put it on a German book page ... but you are always very clever ...

That tag layering is very very clever! I love it. That is sure a nice way to rock the challenge. I never cut anything straight so I didn't even notice that. At least until you mentioned it. Have a super Saturday. Hugs-Erika

This is a great page Elizabeth! You have taken the “tags” challenge to the next level with your layering. I love the vintage feel. Sorry you are having internet issues again - I would have definitely switched carriers by now if that’s a thing in your area. So frustrating! Take care.

Hopefully the internet will get better with you
Have a good new week, hugs Elke
