T Stands For DeFazio's

Earlier this year, my foodie friend Sally and I once again headed to DeFazio's.

We were tired of eating Mexican food, and decided Italian was what we were craving.

Since I know what I'm getting every time I come, I have no idea why I even looked at the menu.

I always eat from the lunch menu and scampi is my meal of choice.  It's always been good here.

Sally and I contemplated getting a pizza, but I decided scampi still sounded better.  As always, I chose a pasta to go with it.  Note we both had water with lemon, too.

I noticed Sally was wearing the 4-Oceans bracelet I got her for her birthday, so had to take a photo.  She told me she seldom takes it off and often showers with it still on her wrist.

Since I was the designated driver, she also got a beer.  I'm glad it was her and not me.

We both got the Italian salad, but I don't like vinegar and oil which normally comes with that salad, so I opted for ranch dressing instead.

Those are pickled artichokes they pickle in their restaurant.

Before I could eat more than about three bites of my salad, our meals had arrived.  Sally ordered a pasta dish that she didn't care for, because she normally gets spaghetti with added meatballs and mushrooms.  I had a taste of her pasta, but I think I like mine far better.  As always, the shrimp were cooked perfectly in real butter sauce with lemon and herbs.  And as always, it was delicious.

It's now time for you to share your own drink related post.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

Although I realize there's not a lot of lead time this month, I would be remiss if I didn't mention this is the final T post in September, so please don't forget to dig up your Second on the 2nd, a post that can be about anything as long as it is one you have published in the past.

Your food looks good, and it's good to see Sally smiling! Her bracelet is very pretty. I think I would have chosen the oven roasted chicken thighs! Glad you didn't drink beer if you were driving. It's not a drink I like, anyway. Happy T Day, Valerie

What a beautiful bracelet you gifted Sally with. I can understand why she loves it so- and it came from a special friend. I would have ordered your choice too! Glad to know it was so good. Just too bad they seemed to have rushed the meal. Happy T day!

Boy that meal looks delicious. Even the salad looks delicious. And that is a pretty bracelet you got Sally, and she is sure smiling happily. In fact, she normally doesn't look so happy, so she much really like it. I'm glad you took us back for another yummy Italian meal. It's perfect for T day. Hope yours is a good one Elizabeth. hugs-Erika

I keep thinking about buying some of those Ocean cause bracelets. They are really cute and for a great cause.
The name of that restaurant always makes me think of Laverne and Shirley. :)
Happy T day!

You made me laugh about the menu!
In my old hometown I always took the same pizza.
Then I moved to Braunschweig. And often, when my Brother visited me, he brought me that pizza. Even my Mum.

They´d changed the menu years ago, but when my tiny Mum showed up asking for a "Ten without ham" (because I didn´t like the warm ham) they smiled proudly (she told me) and said, "can get cold, goes to Braunschweig, right?".

Sadly I don´t like it anymore. The owner, Nico, is an Italian, but they changed the pizza for the German taste.
Then we went to Italy and had the real thing, which Nico does not have on offer...

Wonderful when friends treasure what you give them!

One of my Auntie's signature dishes was Shrimp Scampi. Mmmm. Too bad Sally wasn't as pleased with her entree as you were with yours. Lovely bracelet you got her, too. Happy T Day

Your meals looks delicious - so yummy and just my thing! I would have chosen this scampi too although it would probably be called King Prawns in a butter sauce here as scampi in the UK is generally fish pieces with a bread coating that are fried. I'd enjoy the beer too, it looks like you had a lovely time, so many smiles 😀. Wishing you a very happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x

oh that meal looks delicious. I am all for butter! The menu made me laugh because of the lady on the front...was she the original owner? That is sweet how Sally loves the bracelet. It just shows how strong and lovely your friendship is.
