T Stands For More Gifts From Friends

Once a month, my No-Name, No-Photos-Allowed group gets together.  Every year we vote for someone who will buy all the birthday gifts that year.  Thankfully, I don't have that responsibility, because we usually vote for our Fashionista friend, who loves to shop.  Sadly, no one wants handmade gifts, except me of course.  April was my month, and the money we put in annually for each person is spent on a gift my Fashionista friend deems appropriate.

Since I'm in my craft room, I only use my grungy 32 oz. Wichita State Shocker mug that has a lid.  Beneath my coffee (yes, I drink my coffee through a straw, because it's easier than holding the heavy mug to my lips and forcing my neck backward in an awkward position) is the gift my friends have chosen for me.

This was a really nice gift that I'm sure any mixed media artist will appreciate.

What better gift, you ask? Well, it's NOT a rocking horse, which I would have preferred.  Now I'll be forced to use these.  JUST JOKING.  I LOVE this gift.

Recently I moved my mica powders and Twinkling H20s to a more convenient location, so I had space in my craft room closet to hold these goodies.  Since the items can be removed by sliding out the drawer, I don't need to remove the items stored on top to get to any of these goodies.  This is a win-win in my organization book.

It's now time for you to share your own drink related post.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

In case you didn't leave your response last week, PLEASE let me know if you want to exchange ATCs again this year.  I have recorded those who have left responses already, but I hope to hear from the rest of you this week.  To answer Caty's concerns, you have ONE partner and send ONE ATC only, dear.  Yes, no, in country only, International is OK, or anywhere are all acceptable responses.

That's a lovely gift you got from your friends, and you will have fun with it for a loooong time. Your big mug is great, much better than small, dainty cups! I will join in internationally, I prefer swapping overseas! Happy T Day, Valerie

It looks a lovely selection of goodies in your gift box and a super storage box as well. I think you will have fun using them.
I like the idea of a straw in the drinking beaker, it looks like it had a lid as well. Perhaps I should get a similar mug it just might stop my accidently dipping a brush into mine.
Sorry I am late, I totally forget to add my reply last week
I'd love to join in the ATC sw....anywhere.
Happy T day wishes.

What an amazing "stash" of supplies. (Quilters call their hoard of fabric, a stash). So this is where your creativity can start taking shape.

I'm not a good shopper either, but your fashionista friend certainly is! It's a gift. My gosh, it amazes me that she could put together something like that box for you.

Happy T-day! Eileen xx

At least your no name, no photo fashionista friend really knows you well and has super taste. That is an excellent gift! It's nice to have a group that regularly gets together, isn't it? That is as good (well almost-smile) as this gift. Happy T day. hugs-Erika

Hi Elizabeth the answer to you question about a ploughmans platter.
The contents are not always the same but they do always include a piece of pork pie, a variety of cheeses and pickles, a side salad and bread[sough dough on the OH's that day].

What a lovely gift from your No-Name friends! Some thought went into that.
I smiled at your mug with the straw. That is a very good and simple solution to avoid an awkward, potentially painful position. Well done.
Yes, I think I will participate in the ATC exchange. It was such fun last time. I will be back home (going to Holland) on June the 27th so that leaves me aome time to create one. International is OK.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

What a really cool idea for everyone to get gifts, and I love it. I'm with you when it comes to organization, and if I could afford it, I'd get some type of organizational box every day. I've used them to organize in the bathroom and the kitchen and it makes a huge difference. I found most from the Dollar Tree, which was great. The office area is a different story, however(lol). I try to find craft boxes all the time, from Michaels or the Dollar Tree and I never seem to have enough, or the size I need to hold everything. That box you received is perfect and so neat to store your things. What a great gift! Hugs...RO

I've never had coffee with a straw, but I understand you perfectly, it's much easier. Happy T-day !! (on time haha)
Thank you for your answer concerning the ATC swap, anywhere is ok for me. Do you already know if it will be about a free or a specific theme? Thank you very much for hosting.
Well, I wish you a very happy Wednesday, and I send you big hugs.
