What's On Your Workdesk this 519th Wednesday?

It's been quite awhile since I've joined Julia at Stamping Ground, but she understands that life often gets in the way of computer time.  I believe if you can't visit everyone, you shouldn't play.  This is my guillotine cutter where I'm creating 3 X 5 inch cards for ICADs (Index Card A Day) I will be joining in June and July.  I could probably buy the cheap cards for about $1.00 (USD), but I have SO many of these used file folders, I'd prefer to use them.  They are also more sturdy than the flimsy index cards.

On my work table (where I stand to make art) I'm preparing a tutorial, or at least about to. I pushed the pile to the right so I could show what I know most of you came to see.

It was sent to me by my dear friend RO! Isn't it gorgeous?  Of course, you can't really see it in its full glory,

so I'll show how it looked right after I removed it from its package a few weeks ago.

WOYWW isn't the only party in town. Try it on Tuesday has turned 10, too.  I actually had the background created, but didn't care for it.  All I did was add the balloons, which was a stamp my neighbor loaned me.  I also added the word "Happy" and "10."

This was a longer post than I anticipated when I started.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Please leave your number if you are coming from Julia's.

good to see you join in with WOYWW again, it's been a while.. totally understand why though , although visiting everyone is easier now there are fewer desks to get round!

You are right about only joining in challenges if you can get round to visiting, so many people don't stick to this. Lovely journal page, have fun with the index cards, Valerie

What a thoughtful and beautiful gift! my word that’s one shiny rocking horse, it’s really lovely, you must have been thrilled to receive it.
How lovely to see your desk this morning! Looking as busy and controlled as ever MIss Elizabeth, I’m still charmed by the line of dresses. Congrats for Try It on Tuesday, how fun to be celebrating, I like the card v much, balloons always say ‘celebrate’ to me so they were a top choice, I rather like the background, but that’s what make the world turn isn’t it!

Lovely to see you on here Elizabeth, and your desk shot which showcases all of your crafting goodies (well some of them, I guess there are more).
Nice bright birthday card, balloons say Happy Birthday better than anything, even cake! But of course, your new shiny rocking horse steals the show. What a beautiful gift. I can well imagine the delight as you undid the parcel.
Hugs, Neet 6 xxx

Your so right about groups like this Elizabeth, there has to be something that puts a halt to me getting round to visit everyone even if it takes me a day or two. If I can not make that commitment I don't play along.
Good to see you here again Elizabeth and to see all your desk spaces. What a lovely shiny Rocking horse a beautiful gift. Glad I got chance to pop in early whilst I wait on the washing machine to finish then have to dash out.. Don't know if i'm coming or going at the moment.

P.S Hope all is well with the flood/basement now?

I love the background, Elisabeth. It's perfect and I'm thinking it must be music to 'Happy Birthday to you...' - and you can't go wrong with balloons!! Great entry. I love your rocking horse - didn't you show us that when it arrived? I'm sure I've seen it before. It really is very special.
Thank you for sharing with us at Try it on Tuesday.

I too took a leave from this wonderful get together but I'm back for awhile. There are fewer of us but it's always good to visit and see what everyone is doing and I don't feel overwhelmed trying to get to everyone. I love your new addition to your collection! Always nice to get to add to any collection. Have a great rest of the week!

I have to admit that I'm intrigued with all the dresses hanging around the room, and love them!I'm sure there's a story somewhere that I've missed. That clearly took lots and lots of work. They all look so creative and fun! It's also cool to see that the "Genius at Work" is still peeping in.(lol)Your desk is considerably more organized than mine is that's for sure. What in the world? I see Little Elizabeth has moved from the living room where I last saw her,(lol), but I'm beginning to think she hangs out wherever you are, and that's pretty neat, and makes me feel awful special. HUGE Hugs and Happy Wednesday! ❤ RO

Oh I am glad to hear you haven't seen any mold in your basement and it is cleaned up. Meant to mention that and it dawned on me as I clicked post before. Yahoo. Let's hope it says dry.

It's fun to see a work in progress on your desk. Great idea to recycle the folders for use as index cards. The rocking horse is beautiful and you were lucky to have a thoughtful friend send it to you.

Hi, Elizabeth. Just checking in. Love your gifts and cute card. Been noticing your weather, glad you are getting breaks from the downpours. So have we in Houston area. A few days respite to try to dry out. xoxo

What a beautiful rocking horse ... such a wonderful gift to receive! I love all your little outfits hanging up too. I love making stuff on "unexpected" backgrounds and really should make more use of old packaging etc., I like working on wood at the moment - old, random planks from the garden and have to insist hubby does not cut the raggedy edges off! Thanks for popping by my blog yesterday - was lovely having you visit. Love Debbie xXx

Nice to see you again and thanks for your visit yesterday, Elizabeth. Loving the rocking horse - I'm afraid I would be tempted to distress it a little to make it look patina, which of course would be a sacrilege but I just can't help myself LOL! Hope you have a good week! zsuzsa #21
