T Stands For Fun Time Tea and a new host at Art Journal Journey

This is no April Fool's Joke.  Today we are celebrating T time at my dining room table.  We also have a new host at Art Journal Journey.  Susi and I want to welcome first time host, artist Wendy from Wendy's Art and Craft Journal.

Her theme is Having Fun, and I suspect that's what we'll do this month.

In fact, we are having a bit of tea time fun today.

I love how the blues in the picture I found in my stash matches the background, which is a used security envelope.

I'll also have some tea, too.

The tea time fun was hand printed on a different security envelope using a Sharpie.  It is positioned behind the security window.

Using variegated and plain copper threads, I sewed the images to the page, then created a bit of interest with my wonky sewing on and around the used envelope.

This is Day 1 of 22 days of recycling leading up to bEARTHday.  Today I recycled two security envelopes and an image from my stash.

I hope you will join Wendy, Susi, Bleubeard, and me this month at Art Journal Journey with your own art inspired by Having Fun, too.  Please be aware, we want to see your altered book pages, journal pages, loose journal art, canvases, fabric pages, and digital art.  However, we cannot accept cards, ATCs, ATCoins, or tags, and will be forced to delete your entry.

It's now time for you to share your own drink related post.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

Don't forget to have your Second on the 2nd post ready, if it differs from your T Tuesday post.  Please add it both places if your post includes both challenges.

Lovely tea-time piece, I have some plates and bowls with the same pattern. Thanks for the tip about the arts and culture department at the university, I loved the glass mosaic from Miro. It seems to be a huge university, too. Happy T Day, Valerie

I love the new theme y'all have at Art Journal Journey, and it has already inspired an ATC ;) Yes, yes, I know ATCs aren't accepted, and so I won't try to link over there, of course, but I do appreciate the inspiration :) I love your tea- and recycling-themed entry.

Happy T Day!

Lovely "Having Fun" page, Elizabeth. Plus a very clever use of a security envelope as a background, especially the title window.

I love Tea Time. It isn't so much about drinking tea as the sharing time with good friends. I enjoyed your tea party, Elizabeth. Blue is my favorite color and I never paid attention to what nice patterns are in a security envelope. Happy T Day.

What a good way of using the inside of a security envelope. Great fun! This tea party looks good. I love the cups and tea pot, but also the 'goodies' to go with it. I think I'll come along to this one.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

A lovely recycled piece that also works for your tea day - well done! I love the different varieties of safety envelopes, and it’s great that you were able to find one that fit your colour scheme so well.

What a great idea Elizabeth to use an envelope, I save the fancy stamps, not sure why as I've never found a use for them!!
The tea set looks very pretty, lovely colour, must admit we always use mugs.

I would have never known that this was a reused envelope! What a beautiful piece of art. I love the simplicity of this piece. The colorful but sparse use of photos and the stitching is a very pleasing piece to the eye.
