Trick or treat

You probably know by now that Bleubeard and I are hosting Art Journal Journey this month.  Our themes are My Favorite Season or 'Tis the Season.

Today we are celebrating Halloween and a bit of trickery.

These twins look like they have just returned from trick or treating.

It's obvious they have already consumed some of the spoils of their night out.

For this page, I began by laying down candy wrappers my foodie friend Sally gave me onto 110 lb card stock I cut down to 8 square inches (20,32 square centimeters).  I added the computer generated "Trick or Treat" and the TH paper doll twins I lifted off the page using pop dots.  I attempted to place them on the Brach's names so they weren't floating in the air.

Bleubeard and I are elated you chose to join us today and hope to also see you at Art Journal Journey where our themes are Favorite Season or 'Tis the Season.

Sweet page. The twin cutouts are really cute and I never would have thought of candy wrappers for a background. Clever and a great way to recycle.

That's a lot of candy lol My Halloween candy wrappers are gone, and I'm throwing away the Christmas candy wrappers as I go so as to leave no trace of my over-indulgence ;) Those cute kids have an excuse :)

I love how you used the wrappers for your background on this wonderful page. The twins must have had a super time Trick or Treating, they sure are smiling and happy.

Did you enjoy all that candy yourself? This is a really fun page and using all those candy wrappers as the background is a cool idea. I like the contrast of shiny peppermint patties and the matte and white tootsie roll and dum-dum. Now that I write that, I think my husband might have sent you these candies as they all what he likes. And I wouldn't worry about floating girls. They might have so much energy from the sugar they are floating on air. :) Hugs-Erika
