A sure sign autumn has arrived

I'm sure you know by now that Bleubeard and I are hosting Art Journal Journey this month.  Our themes are My Favorite Season or 'Tis the Season

This means that today our favorite season is autumn.

It's always a good sign that autumn has arrived

when we see pumpkins.

For this spread, I laid down yellow water soluble crayons for the background on 110 lb. card stock.  I printed numerous pumpkins and sized them differently.  I then colored each one, including the white ones, with water soluble crayons.  I used white, red, orange, pink, and two colors of green on the pumpkins.  Each pumpkin was carefully cut, then laid on the background using glue stick.  The computer generated words were colored yellow and green.

Bleubeard and I are so happy you chose to visit us today and hope you'll also join us at Art Journal Journey with your own take on a Favorite Season or 'Tis the Season.

You're making your way through the seasons beautifully! I love these pumpkins, well worth the time and trouble to cut and layer them - having so many is all part of that fall harvest abundance. Great page!

Nice coloring on all those pumpkins. That's a lot of pumpkins to cut out too. It makes such a festive autumn page and makes me think of Thanksgiving. Like pumpkin pie. Wow, that holiday seems so long ago to me. These 4 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas really spreads out the 2 holidays. Hope all is well with you and you are enjoying this present season. Hugs-Erika

I love the coloring on the pumpkins. Grouped the way you have them makes me think of a farm down the road where we used to go get pumpkins when the girlies were little. Thanks for the happy memory

Autumn is a glorious month, and you've done justice to it :) Those pumpkins, long gone now, are a sweet reminder of the fall season color.

Oh wow! I thought this is one picture you cutted out and glued on, but no - you cutted every single pumpkin (even in different sizes printed) and coloured them by yourself - the page looks great! A gorgeous picture!
