Fishy

Today I'm once again sharing an Art Journal Journey spread honoring Yvonne from Meggy's Way whose theme is A World of Fantasy.

Fishy is the name of this spread, which started with a large security envelope.

Next came this beautiful piece of parchment paper gifted me by Kathy in Ozarks at Hummingbird Woodland Studio.  I doubt she ever imagined I would use this lovely paper she sent to create an underwater scene.

But that is exactly what I did with this magical underwater fantasy.

I think my favorite is the butterfly fish.

Some fish were extremely happy, while others looked sad or glum.

The seahorse chose to watch from the sidelines.

The colorful fish were certainly enjoying the undersea fantasy.

Another favorite were the Green Backs.

I started this spread using a security envelope I glued to the parchment paper Kathy sent me.  I then found some funky fish on the internet and fussy cut them, then colored them using both water soluble crayons and watercolor pencils.  I had a hard time getting the glue to stick to the parchment paper, but in the end, I was extremely happy with this Fishy Fantasy.

Thank you for visiting.  I am delighted you chose to spend some time here today and hope to also see you at Art Journal Journey.

Wonderful, fantastical page. I was able to ride in a glass bottom boat in Eilat, and we saw wondrous fish under the water. Have a great day, Valerie

What fun Elizabeth, that parchment paper was just waiting to be decorated with those comical fishes. A vibrant and happy composition.
Have a super weekend.
Hugs Tracey xx
P.S I'm chasing my tail at double speed too and fear I will never catch up, so please do not worry.. You know if I can get here I will :)*

AWESOME I am thrilled with this fun and fabulous page. The fish look great, I could weave a few stories around them myself, the one with the cheesy grin showing its teeth is a gem. You were meant to use the paper from Kathy for this page, it looks like ripples in the flowing water.
Thank you for creating this magical fantasy page for my theme at Art Journal Journey, I love it.
Yvonne xx

This is absolutely brilliant! I so enjoy your fantastic underwater scene! The butterfly fish and the seahorse and the frogs...oh my... so lovely and fun and a fantastic water with this technique! Cool!
This is my favourite for this month of your "World of Fantasy" pages so far!
Thank you for the info mail - great!
It's so much better, I nearly are completely recovered.
The antibiotics helped instantly and I have really no bad problems-
Sorry for the word "Angina" We say this here for being sick in bed with a bad strep throat and a fever. It's really no life-threatening sickness.

Big hugs, Susi

How fun! Those fish are great. Isn't that a representation of life? Some going through with a smile, some looking glum, and others on the side-line just observing.

I LOVE this. These fish are a riot (and the frogs too). The paper background works so well. That was a good gift from Kathy. What a fun fantasy. I love the smiling fish. He's a riot. They're all a riot actually. Thanks for a fun Saturday view that made me smile. And happy Saturday to you. Hugs-Erika
