What's On Your Workdesk this 467th Wednesday: the one where she gets serious about creating an ATC

I'd like to begin by saying thanks to all who mentioned my keyboard last week.  I assure you, cleaning it is not the problem.  I have no idea what the problem is, but this is the SECOND keyboard in less than eight months and both have done the exact same thing.   BTW, it sounds like Sue had a good idea when she said her wireless got drunk and she sometimes had to replace it with a wired keyboard.  My friend Scott (who built my computer) bought one like mine at the same time and he replaced his with a wired one, too.  So much for Logitech wireless keyboards.  I refuse to replace this second one until I find one that works flawlessly.  But for now let's join Julia, our beloved host at Stamping Ground this Wednesday.

As you can see, my work table is relatively clean, but the number of cards and gifts have taken over my other craft room surfaces.  I simply MUST find a place for them soon, because I am such a neat freak I can't stand seeing the clutter.

On my desk, under the green caution sign, are some index cards.  I need to count them to be sure I have enough for June and July when I play in the ICAD challenge again this year.  Also on my desk

are the only rocking horses you will see this week.

I had planned to make more of these ATCs for the swap, but realized I simply don't have time to make more than one for my PIF partner and one for Julia.

Thanks for visiting today.  I'll be by to visit and if you are coming from Julia's, please leave your number.

Finally, this hasn't happened in a long time, but I found a couple of deskers I couldn't leave a message for.  To do so, I would have to join G+, and until I am forced to do so, I won't.  I know Sarah Brennan was one of those I can't leave comments to.  So, I apologize in advance for that.

Your working space looks very tidy, not like mine, which is extra cluttered just now! Have a nice day, Valerie

I am sure you will get your atcs finished in time. You are being very organised with your ICADs too.
Re your comment about the Temperate House doors- I don't think they look worn already, I think it was the light reflecting. They are brand spanking new, honest! Helen #???

Oh so tidy Elizabeth, makes me want to get some paint out hee hee!! A tidy up is on my agenda today as I have a little free time for once and need to make the most of it making way for more messy mayhem.
I would LOVE a designated area for my sewing machine, but she does have a lovely wheeled case to keep her safe during her sleepy times.
Thank you for sharing WOYWW.

Lovely to see you on here again Elizabeth - and joining in with the atc swap this year too. Not to worry about all those backs you have prepared, they will do for upcoming years and you have lots of time to get cracking.
Love to `Bleubeard and Squiggles - and you.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Hi, don't worry about not being able to leave comments, I know one or two people have had issues there, but I'm not tech savvy enough to work out a way round it. Thanks for visiting anyway. Hope you manage to get to the bottom of your keyboard issues. Sarah #9

Oh....we’ve gone back to a wired keyboard too. Sorry for the trouble and the rubbish advice! I think I must have squished a quarter then don’t you, highly unlikely that I would have used something, out of the ordinary...Mr D says it probably cost 50 cents altogether....I can’t remember at all now! Am honoured you’ll be sending me an ATC, no hurry, honest! I like to see your sewing machine desk, I have a lot of everything but I don’t have room to keep mine out and think I would use it a lot more if I could. poor Mr D, we need adjoining separat3 houses!!

Morning Elizabeth. Lovely tidy desk there today Hope you get your ATC done... I can't leave a message on Sarah's, Zsuzsa's or April's blogs. Yes, I think it's to do with google+ - and I haven't joined either. Some folk on there I can leave a message with - so I think it may be something to do with the settings. I email my comment to Sarah each week...
Take care. God bless.

I wouldn't show anyone my work table-it is a HUGE mess. Yours looks good. You can work on it. I did finally start picking up my craft space but haven't finished. Maybe with the rain this weekend I will get some time. I am having a hard time this month working-I want to be home playing with some paint or something fun rather than being gone all day. Guess its the effect of spending my vacation jet setting half way around the world. Can't wait to see the ATCs you make for your swap. Hugs-Erika

Hi Elizabeth, and ear scritches to Bleubeard. How odd about the keyboards- I've had my Logitech wireless for at least 5 years, and it still gives me no problems at all! Has a wireless mouse that works flawlessly too, unless I forget to put him back on his charging station, and even then thats after a few days. So there are some good versions out there. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz XxX #10

Hope you get your keyboard issue resolved! I have an HP keyboard (came with my HP computer last year) and so far, all it good. It is wired in as is my mouse. Looks like your desk is ready and waiting for use! And love the back of your ATCs! Hope you have a great week!

I hope I'm your PIF but don't think I get up early enough to be close to your number!!! The rocking horse backs for the ATCs are great, it could only be from you :-D. Sorry that your keyboard is playing up, I've just realised that I have a Logitech wireless one too and so far, touch wood, it seems to be ok! Which is amazing because I normally throw electronic gadgets into a hissy fit, must have weird personal magnetism or something.....

I have so far made only 1 ATC for my swap partner, whoever that may be, but I can make more if you want to swap! Re: keyboards - I have a wired one, tried a wireless one once and it didn't work, so I'm happy with this one. Apart from all the spelling mistakes it consistently makes ;-) it works great! Sometimes I have trouble leaving a comment on Sarah's blog as well, so when that happens I "reply" to one of her comments and that seems to work, however lately just commenting has been working. Strange. Oh well, have a great week, hope you find a keyboard that works for you! Lindart #31

Sorry your keyboard is being contrary. Soooo frustrating.

You are my organizing inspiration. Those are great ACT backs that you've created. I forgot about the ICAD challenge. Maybe if I had a stack of cards ready, as you do, I could join in.

Hi Elizabeth, I am using my wired (Logitech) keyboard, as my Advent wireless one is having a hissy fit and writing gobblygook. I am sure it's something that interferes with it, as it's usually fine the rest of the day. Mindyou another bugbear I have with it, is the N and M keys are losing the letters.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy WOYWW

we have some friends on google plus as well, and can't comment; rather sad because I thought blogger and google plus were pretty much the same thing ?? ☺♥

Ooh you've just reminded about the Icad challenge - I really want to join in this year - I keep forgetting all about it until it's practically over! Love the rocking horse stamp. Sorry I'm late in replying but spent all day in the waiting room at our main hospital - routine appt - but hospital time is so very far removed from real time isn't it!
Hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by earlier,

Hi Elizabeth. I love your crafty space. Lots to look at on your pics. I hope you get your keyboard problems sorted. I might try reprinting the backs of ATC cards. Thanks for stopping by earlier. Have a lovely week Heather x #12

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for your earlier visit! I couldn't actually get here earlier from the link on Julia's but here now. Sorry to hear you are having keyboard problems - always something isn't there? Sometimes my keyboard types backwards. Must be a weird combination of letters that are a command but I've never figured out what. Try that for frustrating typing lol. Good to see you back on the circuit. (And now I've spotted something below I need to look at....) Happy WOYWW Cindy #16

Well, unfortunately I am a glutten of old habits that are oh so hard to break. I'm a retired paralegal so my office at home looks pretty much like my office downtown when I was working at the lawfirm. I like things made simple from gadgets to cleanliness and everything has a place & everything in its place. Unfortunately though my husband is the opposite from me. hahahaha Have a nice day!

Before I forget, I noticed your comment about not being able to leave a comment for Sarah B. I found that if I use Chrome I am able to leave a comment but if I use Internet Explorer I can't do it. Love seeing your work space and the warning sign, very useful for anyone who risks entering when crafters are at work. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x23x

:) I had to smile over the rocking horse's in the siggy for your card backstamps that is really fun. I do have a wireless logitech keyboard and mouse at work and I have had them a long time so that is a surprise to see yours are dying quickly. (at home I have a laptop) so, I am sorry that is no help either I do know that I had a regular google account and somehow they made mine a g+ account and I did something to it to make it view like the old account ( I don't remember how anymore maybe somewhere in the dashboard?) but, it fixed the no comments thing for me.

Hi! Fun that you did WOYWW this week. Since we moved I haven’t had any energy to to it or your T Stamds for Tuesday! I don’t know when I will get back into the swing of things! I love that you put your rocking horse on the back of your ATC! Have a great week-end!
