Stop and smell the flowers

I'm once again joining Jo at Let's Art Journal, our host this month at Art Journal Journey whose theme is flora and fauna.  Because it fits their flower theme, I'm also joining the challenge at Moo-Mania & More.  And because I used a die cut, I'm also joining Try it on Tuesday, whose theme is stencils, die cuts, or both.

This adorable friend of Bleubeard's is asking us to

stop and smell the flowers.
I created this page in my Challenges altered book.  I first laid down some yellow copier/printer paper, then added the focal image, the die cut oval, and the strip of paper that matched the oval.  Because the paper is double sided, I used part of the back side to create the sentiment I printed using a white gel pen.

Thank you for sharing time with me today where you will also find me at Art Journal Journey, Try it on Tuesday, and Moo-Mania & More.  I hope to see you at these challenges, too.

Wonderful page! I'm loving the yellow and purple colour combination and that's such a cute kitten; your quote made me smile too, it matches the image perfectly 😁. Thanks so much for linking this lovely page to Try it on Tuesday and also joining in the fun at AJJ again! Happy weekend! J 😊 x

This is sooo cute! The lilac flower is almost as big as the cat's head, and the quote fits perfect for this adorable picture! The dotted paper matches also beautifully! Bleubeard must be happy with such a pretty friend :)
Wish you a great weekend, dear Elizabeth!

aww thats such a sweet image Elizabeth and lovely quote.
And your cute kitty has reminded me of a photo I was lucky to have got at the right time of a baby squirrel holding a flower that he'd bent over, like he was smelling it... and maybe he was :)
Have a great weekend.

You can't go wrong with a sweet kitten, can you, Elizabeth. And all kittens are so sweet - and they know it. You've made a very pretty page for the kitty.
I'm glad Bleubeard has a little friend (friends are so important) and I appreciate kitty's message, one must stop and enjoy one's garden as well as tending it. I'll remember that.

This page is just adorable. Kitties are definitely good thoughts on a beautiful spring day. Of course knowing lots of kitties they would try to eat the flowers, wouldn't they? :) Nice page...I really enjoyed it. Hope you are having a beautiful weekend-the keyboard is working and the sun is out, but not too hot. Hugs-Erika

Aww, that's a very sweet page, Elizabeth. The kitty is adorable. The quote is one I have to remind myself of frequently.

Thank you for your comment, Mother's Day wishes and the tip about free image sites in your sidebar. I will check them out and see if any should be on my list.

Happy Sunday! Eileen

This little kitten looks so sweet. We had a cat who loved lying in the flower beds. In fact we think she waited until they were bloom for her to lie in.
