On paper

I'm once again joining Jo at Let's Art Journal, our host this month at Art Journal Journey whose theme is flora and faunaI'm also joining my friends at Moo-Mania & More because this fits their flower theme.

I created this in my large art journal with left over pink printer/copier paper from my recycle bin.

The sentiment, which I colored with my watercolor crayons, reads "On paper, things can live forever.  On paper, a butterfly never dies."

I sewed everything on this page with the exception of the leaves, which I first colored, then used a punch to add a bit of interest to the butterfly and flower.

German text on the left was paired with some of my hand painted paper.

Other foreign text was used to create a tag, to which I added more flowers and a portion of the original focal image.

Here is my butterfly and flowers that will live forever on paper.  Thank you so much for joining me today, and I hope to see you at Art Journal Journey and Moo-Mania & More, too.

I love to see you at Art Journal Journey and Moo Mania & More again !Thank you dear Eilzabeth! This page is so beautiful - the german text is technical about freight ships . Lol! But who cares? A good contrast to the wonderful butterfly and yes things live forever on paper unless there is a fire. A good quote!Never heard yet!
I so love your sewing and composition on all those last pages - simply wonderful!
I am sorry to hear you have such huge problems with the internet now! Fingers crossed all run well for the nex time- it's annoying!
I am thinking of you! Happy start of your weekend that hopefully is good to you and the sun is shining and the internet works properly and the keyboard works as well!
Much work here for me - but all is o.k.!
Big hugs to you and the boys! ♥♥♥

Such a beautiful page! You have bought all the paper and images together wonderfully with your amazing stitching 😁. The butterfly images with those pretty punched embellishments look perfect together and the quote is so true. It's always a pleasure to see you at AJJ, thanks so much for all your help and support! Happy Friday! J 😊 x

I love this page-the stitching, the spring pink, the quote, the beautiful butterfly. It is perfect for the weather I am having-all our fruit trees and spring blooms are out and everything is greening up. Sorry to once again hear about your internet. It's one of those we can't live with and can't live without. UGH! Hugs-Erika

I really like your layout, and the butterfly looks as if it could fly off the page! I need to take the hint to try more stitching by machine since hand stitching is still hard for me, and I’m tiring of using glue. Thanks for visiting my blog! I agree with your assessment of the outer triangles work best when they are the same color!

You have chosen a beautiful pink background for this pretty butterfly and the pink flowers! I like your amazing stitching too with which you have placed the picture and the German text - I read :)) - it is a technical text about ships and oil tankers.
The quote is wonderful!

A stunning butterfly and I do love those words. Butterflies have such short lives, I to wish they could live longer.
