Friday Smiles 272: returning to a fun place

Although it's been a few weeks since I was able to join in, I'm foregoing the jokes, etc. this Friday.  I'm sure you are aware I'm here for Annie's Friday Smiles.   I barely got this posted under the wire, because I have been gone the entire day and evening.

I wanted to save the jokes for another day, because this got such a hit the first time I visited, I didn't think it needed anything else.

Does this look familiar to anyone?  Please see this post which I featured as a second look on the 2nd one month, or this post, which was the original Friday Smile.

It doesn't look familiar at all, does it?

Even the parking lot is new!

AH, now it's beginning to resemble the old, although this is a brand new add-on section to this building.

I know several of you will remember this,

this,

this,

and this!

I added this close-up to the mix.

Once inside, you might remember this, too.  Then I was off to take photos of the updated building, shelving, and nut cases.  I took so many photos, I had to create a mosaic.

Lot's of change and a much better camera made this a fun trip to Nifty Nut House.  You might be able to see these photos were taken the day before Mother's Day, which was last Sunday.

BTW, I didn't spend a single cent when I went in to take photos only.  I was on my way home and remembered it was off the beaten track, but still not out of my way to visit.

Thanks for joining me today and thanks for your continued visits.  Now let's visit Annie's Friday Smiles, where it never hurts to begin the weekend with a big smile, just like Annie's.

Yes I loved this post very much.
I agree I don't think I would enjoy no indoor plumbing either, or no air conditioning for this area where we are living now-but growing up as a kid my parents never had air conditioning so when it go really hot they would take us to the mall or the movies.
My garden isn't doing all that great with too cold in april and now summer heat-I am loosing allot of my little plants already. I am behind on my art too-have not had the time to work on my art journal so getting further behind.
but I am making myself notes.
I think a veggie version would be delicious for the stuffed peppers.
Enjoy your weekend!

What a fun place! Yes, I remember it well from your previous post. I love that wall art.
I think I would definitely go out of my way to visit it.
Than k you so much for your info on the Helsinki Olympic games. That was so informative. I looked on Wikipedia too but didn't get all that info. I just read it out to my husband as well. I never knew....
So, there you are, we have learnt another thing.
Have a fab day with lots of smiles,
Lisca

What a great fun place, someone there must have a good sense of humour for sure. You asked if I was excited about the wedding well not exactly but I will be watching it as I love to see all the outfits and of course the dress. The TV has ben full of it with interviews and the like all week as they still have no idea who the designer is that has designed the wedding dress so there's lots of surprises to come. Might pop over to the park for a while and see what this big screen is like that they are setting up. Hope your weekend is good. Big hugs, Angela xXx

I remember these original photos. Hard to say whether I like the new building look better than the old. It is more modern, but certainly those squirrels were a lot more whimsical. It looks like a fun place to shop with a lot to tempt you to buy. Seeing anything with nuts in it is always better in my mind- except almonds which I am allergic to. This was a fun revisit for sure. Hope you aren't in the path of those nasty storms I saw on the news tonight. And have a great weekend. Hugs-Erika

off-topic, but I wanted to tell you I had a fall on Mother's Day. I got stitches on my head and a concussion but no breaks at all, so I count myself fortunate. The stitches will come out Monday, but the dizziness is making focusing on a screen difficult. I look forward to catching up once the dizziness is gone. Wow! We never know what a day will bring!

The murals are brilliant Elizabeth, saving them to my Pinterest mural wall.
What a wonderful shop, do they just sell nut related stuff?
Have a great weekend.

Yes I do remember and well done for coming out without being tempted! They must be making a lot of money to be able to update so extensively! Chrisxx
