Super food

I'm once again joining Alison/Craftytrog, our host this month at Art Journal Journey whose theme is recycle and collage.  And because everything here is recycled except the shaving cream paper background and various adhesives, I am also joining Try it on Tuesday where their theme this fortnight is Recycle Something.

Here are a few close-ups.

I started with nine super food pictures I found on the back of a 2014 calendar.  I knew I wouldn't get all 12 on the page, so picked the ones that spoke to me.  I used glue dots to add some dimension and to hold the pictures in place, then added canceled postage stamps that were also food, some of which were super foods, too.  The letters were some I die cut when my friend loaned me her dies awhile back.  The colored ones were glued in place using a glue stick and the leather, gifted me when a friend was going to throw a bunch of unused leather badges away, were also cut using dies and adhered using E6000.

For Day 14, I recycled nine pictures from the back of a calendar, nine canceled postage stamps, and various letters, five cut from leather that was headed for the trash/recycle bin.

Thank you beyond belief for your visit. Today, you will find me at Art Journal Journey and Try it on TuesdayHope to see you both places, too.  I'm grateful you are following along on this 22 day quest which leads up to bEARTHday.

That is an interesting page theme and I am glad you explained where the photos came from, which explained it. It in fact makes me want to have a big bowl of mixed fruit. :) Really. It would taste good right now. but I do enjoy this page a lot and I like the postage stamp additions too. Hope you haven't gotten any of this nasty weather-summer to winter and anything in between. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika

I'm back and reading some of the post I missed while away.
I first tasted the "star fruit" just last week at my niece's wedding reception.
