Recycle, reuse

I'm once again joining Alison/Craftytrog, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme is recycle/collage, which fits nicely with my recycling efforts this month. It's time to put my words into action.  Here is how I describe Earth Day:

Remember to rethink, reduce, reuse, recycle, re-invent, redesign, re-craft, recover, restore, rebuild, revamp, reclaim, and repurpose.  And because I have used recycled items, I am also joining Try it on Tuesday where their theme this fortnight is Recycle Something.

It's how to save our planet.

And don't forget, this all leads to respect: respect for our planet, respect for trash as art, and respect for what you and I as artists can achieve.

This is Day 4 of 22 and I reused two security envelopes, along with an image I found in an old magazine.   I sewed the envelopes and image together using variegated thread, then added the piece to my large art journal.

Thank you beyond belief for allowing me into your world today. Today, you will find me at Art Journal Journey and Try it on TuesdayHope to see you both places, too.  I'm grateful you are following along on this 22 day quest which leads up to bEARTHday.

great page, I love recycling-most of what we have in our home furniture etc is recycled from somewhere not bought brand new. my art journal wool and other fabrics are all from recycled clothing. now that I think about almost all of my yarns for weaving were not bought brand new but collected from thrift shops and garage sales etc-love that.

Your page offers good words to remember. And I agree with the others about the stitching. Very nice.

Fantastic words to use on your recycling page and words that we should all be very much aware of, as discarding things is such a waste
and not at all good for the planet. I loved the layout and the stitching.
Thank you Elizabeth for adding your page to TioT's, I thought this theme would appeal to you this time.
