Dream big

Today I'm once again joining Alison/Craftytrog, our host this month at Art Journal Journey with her theme of recycle and collage.  I'm not sure there is much collage here, but there is one big recycled material.  And because I have used recycled items, I am once again joining Try it on Tuesday where their theme this fortnight is Recycle Something.

My foodie friend Sally recycles everything paper, metal, and plastic.  But she couldn't figure out how to recycle this dream catcher, so she threw it in the trash.  One of her cats promptly removed it, so she ended up giving it to me, only a bit worse for wear.  That's when the idea for this spread

I call "Dream

Big" was born.   I took a big chance writing these words

after I had attached the Dream Catcher

and completed all the stamping of the errant feather.

The stamp was paired with shaving cream paper I created last month.

For Day 15 of 22 I created a journal page using shaving cream paper, a feather rubber stamp, and a dream catcher my friend had originally thrown in the trash.

Thank you so much for joining me today.  Today, you will find me at Art Journal Journey and Try it on Tuesday Hope to see you both places, too.  I'm extremely grateful you are following along on this 22 day quest which leads up to bEARTHday.

What a beautiful idea to transform trash into treasure. So lovely at this shaving cream background with the stamped feathers!
And your handwriting turned out excellent again! Yes, we should all dream big, think big, believe big and the results will be big!
Happy Sunday Ms.Dr.E.!
What a fantastic entry for Art Journal Journey and Try It On Tuesday again!
THANK you very much dear Co.Admin!

Many years ago, I was able to get a FREE Dream Catcher in the mail which I loved because I had never heard of them before. I kept it for years, and lost it in a one of my many moves over the years. I love what you've done with yours, and it's a reminder to never give up on our dreams. Hugs...and Happy Sunday! RO

I think that's the best kind of recycling. It's very pretty and makes a gorgeous page. I bet Sally's cat loved the feathers. I see you didn't let Bleubeard or Squiggles play with it. :) Hee-hee. Hope your Sunday is a beautiful spring day-not too cold or any storm worries. Hugs-Erika
