Spring has arrived!

Today we welcome a new host and it is the beautiful and very talented Rosie at Rosie's Kleine Bastelwelt.  For those of us who don't speak German, it means Rosie's Small Craft World.  I don't believe her craft world is all that small, because she makes fantastic art.  She is our host this month at Art Journal Journey and the theme she has chosen is Spring.  I suspect many of you will want to join her, whether spring has arrived in your part of the world or not.

Also, according to Susi (who would know), this month begins Art Journal Journey's SEVENTH year.  I'm so proud to now be a part of this wonderful adventure and look forward to many more years sharing art with each of you here.

When I think of springtime, my thoughts automatically go to

Paris.  And what city is more beautiful
and romantic in springtime than Paris?

It's time to fly there, visit the Arc de Triomphe, and sit in a little cafe along the Seine.

For this page, I started with a sheet of card stock I colored using two water soluble crayons.  When the page was dry, I added it to my large art journal.  I added the focal image which started life as a thank you card.  Around it, I placed various Paris inspired washi tapes.  Next, I stamped the Arc, then added the words "Springtime in."

I hope you will join Susi, Rosie, Bleubeard, and me this month at Art Journal Journey.  And of course, thank you for your continued support of my art. It's definitely time to think Spring!

And because this journal page is spring inspired, I'm also posting to Moo-Mania and More, where their theme is Think of Spring.

You begin the new month and theme with a beautiful collage about Paris, where it is easy to think about spring! I like the stamped Arc de Triomphe - this great monument found place in a little stamp! But I like the whole page you created - the card stock colored with water soluble crayons, the wonderful photo of the old restaurant, and these amazing washi tapes!
Thank you for your friendly words in your last comment on my blog, I appreciate them!
Wish you a happy new month!
Rike xx

It's a wonderful page, and a great idea to fly off to Paris, if only in our imaginations Elizabeth! I remember catching the train there with a couple of friends back in the day, and spending a wonderful Easter weekend exploring the sights.
Have a lovely day,
Alison xx

Thanks so much for the shout out yesterday. I liked what you did! Paris Washi Tape sounds so fantastic and a brilliant idea for your art project which I adore. I was able to take a trip to France thanks to you without even leaving my desk. My goodness, you've been doing this for 7 years? That's very impressive. HUGE Hugs...RO

Now I have the song by Frank Sinatra in my head..."I love Paris in the springtime..." But you are right. Paris is a great idea for AJJ this month. I love your page too. I would like to be there right now eating a chocolate croissant with a mug of chocolat chaud. I think it would be a good day or the D'Orsay Museum to look at Van Gogh's and other art of that period. :) Hope you have recuperate from your couple of days away. And Happy March. hugs-Erika

Springtime in Paris is a long way from here so thanks for the idea of it and the thought of a nice coffee in mildly warm Paris. The restaurant looks very inviting.
And thanks very much for the ultimate accolade on my recent artwork - that Bleubeard likes it.
