Wolves in the Wild

I'm once again joining Rike at Rike's Art this month's host at Art Journal Journey with her theme Animals A to Z.  I'm really LOVING this theme, as I suspect many of you can tell.

Today we are visiting wolves in the wild.

All words were computer generated, then colored around using dye ink and a silver gel pen.

I have many images of wolves, and it was hard to narrow them down to just a few.

For this page I began in my large art journal.  I colored the page using blue craft paint that I spread around using a faux credit card.  I decided how many wolves I could show, then did a dry run before gluing everything down.

Thanks for joining me today at Art Journal Journey.  And thanks for your visit and continued support of my art.  Rike, Susi, and I hope to see you at AJJ, too.   There's still time for you to join us.

You have chosen so beautiful images of wolves Elizabeth! A beautiful page - wolves are very recourceful, all they need to survive is for people not to shoot them.
Clever with the dry run layout before gluing the images down. Thanks a lot for such a beautiful entry again - I think Rike is happy with her month !
Happy Sunday dear Co-Admin - you can already proofread the scheduled March post.

Wish you a nice Sunday! Rike xx
Thanks a lot for your comments on my blog - although you had troubles with your computer and keyboard! I am glad Bluebeard likes my kitten :)

Wow, I have loved all your animal pages and this one is really speaking to me. All the pictures you added are fantastic. I would love to see these animals, in their natural habitat, they are such survivors in some of the hardest places to live.

Your page really showcases the magnificence of these creatures. And the background is my favorite color, too. Hope your Internet and computer woes are behind you.

They are beautiful animals. I've only seen them in animal parks.
Have a lovely Sunday Elizabeth.

Cool wolves Elizabeth. They are pretty amazing animals, even more amazing that they are so closely related to our pet dogs, and yet, so different. hard to believe that down deep they are the same animal. You found some great images of wolves and made a super page with them. Happy Sunday. Hugs-Erika

It's wonderful when wolves are given enough space to be wild out in the wild. Such beautiful photos you chose :)

Yes, I can tell -- and that makes it all the more fun for us, too. Isn't it a joy to be able to have a focus on something that fits so well? Makes it easier!
