Wednesday wonders: Botanicals

If you have never been to my internet friend Helen's photo blog, you are in for a treat.  You really need to visit her blog because she often visits Kew Gardens in London.  According to their web site:
Kew houses the "largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world". Founded in 1840, from the exotic garden at Kew Park in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, UK, its living collections include more than 30,000 different kinds of plants, while the herbarium, which is one of the largest in the world, has over preserved plant specimens.
Helen often goes there to take fabulous photos.  So that is where I got my inspiration today.  Although I tried to search for "Botanical Gardens," they were sorely lacking.  However, here are a few images I think you might enjoy.

And of course, I had to end with beautiful palms.

I want to thank each of you for visiting today and inspiring my Wednesday wonders posts.  Although the photos come from Pexels, my ideas come from visiting your blogs.

Stunning photos as always Elizabeth! I go to Kew too. Any walk around gardens helps to calm the mind, and if you can't get to any, looking at photos like this has the same effect. Beautiful.

Wonderful photos! Balm for the soul!
The old glasshouse is our Palmtree House in Vienna in the garden of the Schloß Schönbrunn, where Sisi - Empress Elizabeth from Austria lived. It is beautiful in and out. I lived nearby and it was our must go place each week when my daughter was a little girl.
Happy Wednesday !

Wow- that is a treat post. I loved seeing all those gardens, and I guess I need to check out Helen's blog to see Kew as it would be cool to check it out. Hard to pick a favorite photo, they are all so beautiful today. Hugs-Erika

Well, the ones you shared weren't sorely lacking. Wow. I think I'm incapable of having a glorious garden. Too lazy! So, this is a lovely start to the day.

I just wanted to thank you for all your lovely supportive comment -- on my painting and mostly on my recent health conundrum. I'm doing fine. Only a couple days into treatment and I know it will get a little more gnarly as we go along but I'm so encouraged and it will be over soon. More worried on the thyroid but fingers are crossed it is just a blip. Your good thoughts and words really mean a lot. Thank you.

These are beautiful pictures and I just don’t know how to chose one over the otheras all are so beautiful. I love the closeups of the waterlily and the roses. I love the ivy and wisteria lanes and expect fairies to be in one and Julie Andrews in another. Wonderful pics!
