Second on the 2nd: In my summer garden

So glad you joined Bleubeard and me today.  I have an entry I posted on July 19, 2015.  Some of you may even remember it because I created it for a Moo-Mania and More Challenge.

Please be aware that even though the link works, it will take you to the current challenge, not the one I created the art for.  Here is the post in its entirety.

In my summer garden with Moo-Mania and More

Today I'm joining Moo-Mania and More in my summer garden
 where love abounds.

In fact, love blooms in my summer garden.

Among the many flowers are the heart flowers that only bloom

in my very own garden, the lovely summer garden.

Materials include a wrapping paper background, hearts cut from various book pages, computer generated sentiment, and two colors of green ink pens.
I hope love comes to your summer garden as it has to mine and you'll join Moo-Mania and More in the garden this fortnight.  Thanks for visiting.

Now it's time to share your Second on the 2nd.  The rules are quite simple and everyone is welcome to join the fun look back.  All you have to do is bring back a post that you are especially proud of, or perhaps one you shared before anyone knew your blog existed.  Any post, any genre, any artistic endeavor is acceptable.  Then link below (direct links only, please) and Bleubeard and I, along with other Second on the 2nd friends, will be by to visit.   Please be aware this link is only open for five days, so linking on the 2nd is preferred.

And because I'm hosting Art Journal Journey this month,

here is more Summertime love.

This looks like summer to me.

I have a song in my heart

that only summer can inspire.

Materials used for this spread include a used file folder, a 3-D embellishment, a black Sharpie, a red Sharpie, a heart I painted red, vintage sheet music, a heart button, and some of my handmade shimmering mists.

I hope you like this current taste of summertime love and my second look at summertime love in the garden.  Bleubeard and I are simply thrilled you joined us as we host Art Journal Journey during the month of July.

Lovely page for Summertime love, love how you did the background. The piece you are re-showing also fits well to the theme. Have a fun 2nd on the 2nd, hugs, Valerie

I love the heart flowers, and so glad you showed them again because I don't remember seeing them (I would have been in England and probably working very hard at the time). And your journal page is lovely too - hearts everywhere! If you have Bingo cards that are 4x6 or even slightly larger (my favourites are Transogram and I have to trim a bit off of them) I would be so grateful! This postage thing is really frustrating. Thanks for checking in your collection for me!

I love to see the heart flowers again - such a beautiful idea this was - and it is a great inspiration for the Summertime Love theme as well... and the heat of summer makes that heart on the new page so beautifully pop out! A fab addition to the misty background..and the sticker
is the icing on the cake! Beautiful!
Happy Sunday Elizabeth! ♥♥♥

Whaty a lovely summery post! Full of bright flowers.
The hearts are beautiful too, and so simple to make.(Spray mist, sharpie, piece of music and a button and Bob's your uncle) I like that idea for a card too.
Yes, I know you have seen my Portugal photo somewhere. I have posted it before, but I suppose it doesn't matter on 2nd on the 2nd.
Yes, fish are served with their heads, but of course we don't eat the heads!
Have a great weekend and happy 2nd of the 2nd.
(Thanks for the reminder; I would have forgotten)

The floral background screams Summer. I love it. I especially like the cutout hearts with text behind.

You Summer journal page makes my heart sing, too. How cute is that heart shaped button!

You have 2 summer love pages for us today which is fantastic Elizabeth! My garden is looking like your background in the first page right now. :) It will be more green than blooms in about a week. I love seeing this journal page for the first time, even if it is time 2. And the hearts are wonderful with that little sun peeking out. I'm hoping tomorrow morning to make some pages because I have about 5 ideas in my head. Its an exciting theme for me. Happy Sunday! Hugs-Erika

Hi again Elizabeth - I just wanted you to know that I found a lot of 80 bingo cards on Etsy from Alberta that I've ordered. So don't go to any heroic measures to find them in your stash - although I know you're organized, so that's probably what I would have to do haha. Anyway thanks very much for looking and I should have my cards in the next week or two - yay!

I see that I missed this one - probably one of those away at the caravan times! It's fabulous as is today's page!
I haven't added hearts to my entry - I must have read something wrong, sorry!
Good to be home again with a bit better connection! Hugs, Chrisx
