ICADs for July 24 through 31

It's official.  The Index Card A Day, 2017 challenge is now complete.

I started to falter a bit as we neared the end.  I sort of grabbed whatever was in sight and stuck it to the page.  That's how Day 54 took shape, at least.  This is MY final alma mater, not Bleubeard's.

I think we can all agree Day 55 is wimpy, but I printed this out and colored it.  Even the name was wimpy.

I actually created a collage for Day 56.  It was a bit wimpy, too, but at least I put some thought and effort into it.  I spent more time trying to position the purse shaped letter holder/mail box than anything else.

For Day 57, I started with images of wolves I cut from a calendar.  I affixed them to the decorator side of a tissue box cut to IC size, then added the letters.

On Day 58, when I saw this image in a bridal catalog, I simply had to dig out my stencil that looked similar to the words on the shoes.  I first laid down washi tape, then sewed the image in place.  To complete the IC, I added the stenciled words "She did."

On Day 59, I felt this was a mistake from the beginning.    I was planning to create a flower, but it turned out lousy.  So, in true Elizabeth form, I covered it with a different, albeit probably even worse flower.  I had some left over shimmering mists on a piece of paper, so drew the flower on it, then stuck it to the IC over the failed previous flower.  Have I not mentioned I can't draw?  This Fancy Flower just proves it!

For Day 60, I looked for Words of Wisdom.  A few dots, inspired by my friend Cindy and I called this one complete.

For Day 61, I summed up the summer of index cards.  I made one card for Squiggles and 61 with Bleubeard.  Bleubeard knows I love him, but I'm not sure Squiggles knows.

Here is July in mosaic form.  I have NO idea why it pasted so small, so I hope you can enlarge it if you want to see these again in all their glory.  Thankfully, by adding the index card I made for Squiggles, I was able to create a complete mosaic this year.

And in case you missed them, here are the index cards I altered in June.  All my mosaics are created at Big Huge Labs.

I want to thank Tammy at Daisy Yellow for hosting this fun summertime venture every year.  I know she puts a lot into these daily and weekly prompts, but I'm just no good at finding the images to match.  And I certainly can't draw, so I just create what I find in magazines and junk mail that comes to my house.   It's a bit sad I'm not on any of the social media sites Tammy and others post their ICADs on.  But, as I've said in the past, this is the only place you will find mine, year after year after year!  Thanks again for sticking with me through another year of this ICAD challenge.

You must feel accomplished but also a little bit exhausted to have all those cards and your AJJ pages finished up. I always like your cards because they are so direct and a bit quirky too. Now take a big breath and figure out what your next big art project will be-if you haven't decided already that is. happy new week. Hugs-Erika

Good afternoon, Elizabeth.
I especially liked the mosaic and the words of wisdom card.
I'm sure Squiggles feels the love.
The Index card a day sounds like it's been all kinds of fun. Kudos to Tammy.
Hope your day is pleasant and productive.

The hardest part of this challenge was posting the photos on Instagram. My June and July were such busy months that i just made an icard with very little though or plans. Enjoyed it but not quite the inspiration expected. we leave tomorrow in the RV for California's northern coast and Oregon, with the cats. Busy loading RV and it is about 100 F again....

You should be really proud that you completed this crafting marathon. All the cards looked amazing and again it was good to see them altogether.
I think you will be looking forward to a well earned rest now.

Wonderful to see your mosaics. Your last few.cards are fun, even if you felt like you were flagging for them - it's often like that for me at the end (this year it happened around the middle of the challange for me). I love your fancy flower actually! I like your dots, and was flattered to see they were inspired by me. I really like your grand finale card. All in all I've really enjoyed playing along with you for this challenge.
