Second on the 2nd: Tea Tuesday: Legends

If you are looking for the T Stands For Tuesday post, it is the one below this one.  If your Second on the 2nd and T Stands For Tuesday post is the same, please share it at both locations.

I am sharing the entire post here, word for word, but shared only my drink and food for T this week.  This post was originally published on May 7, 2013.  Be aware the photos were taken with my old, worthless camera.

Tea Tuesday: Legends

On Saturday my friend Sally and I went to Herb Day and Farmer's Market at the County Extension Facility.  Since it rained all day, I didn't take any outdoor photos of the event.  The sky temporarily brightened and the rain subsided about the time we got to the restaurant.

Not one of our usual haunts, this restaurant is attached to a hotel at the airport.

You could see where cars had parked earlier.  We were a bit late for lunch, but that didn't matter.

I panned my camera around hoping to get a photo of an airplane I heard overhead.  All I saw was a bunch of uninspired buildings that apparently did business at the airport.

You don't need to tell me my camera SUCKS.  It has for a long time!  Since about 2000, in fact.  But I took a photo of the menu, anyway.  In fact, I took six photos, but this was the best.  Although the menu stated the Lunch Buffet (ED. the cost is now $14.95 and only served on Thursday and Friday) was from Monday through Friday, they had a baked potato and chili buffet

which sounded like heaven to me.  The chili had meat in it, so I opted for a large potato with extra sour cream.  After all, it was build your own and I had built mine to the ceiling.   I set my plate down and remembered to take a photo, then got the idea to use this fun outing for my Tea Tuesday post.  It doesn't matter when you take the photos, as long as you put the word Tea (or other drink) into the post title and post it on Tuesday (ED. This is before I hosted T Stands For Tuesday).

That's when I got up and took a photo of the entire meal I chose.  You can tell I haven't started yet, because I can't sit down without a napkin in my lap.  Even if it's a paper towel, I have to have something in my lap or I feel naked.  Sally and I both opted for coffee and it was wonderful.  Our gracious server provided us with lots of half and half, which is the only way I'll drink coffee.  I can't drink powdered or mostly-corn-syrup "creamer."

Have a super Tuesday and join us if you like with your favorite drink.  We'd love to have you along for the trip.

Please note, the previous host didn't provide linky links, so it was hard to visit everyone.

Now it's time to share your Second on the 2nd.  The rules are quite simple and everyone is welcome to join the fun look back.  All you have to do is bring back a post that you are especially proud of, or perhaps one you shared before anyone knew your blog existed.  Any post, any genre, any artistic endeavor is acceptable.  Then link below (direct links only, please) and Bleubeard and I, along with other Second on the 2nd friends, will be by to visit.   Please be aware this link is only open for five days, so linking on the 2nd is preferred.

Hello Elizabeth. Your aside remarks often make me laugh out loud.
Poor camera, it was doing its best, and really the photos are fine. Funny too about feeling naked without something in your lap, maybe you should always take Bleubeard with you, haha! Does Squiggles like sitting in your lap, I wonder?

I managed it. (to join in with 2nd on the 2nd).
Oh dear, poor camera. It isn't until you have a new one that you realize how fuzzy it was. Cameras are not high on the list of priorities. I was only able to muy mine after my mother gifted me some money and I decided to spend it on a camera, because if I didn't do it then, I would never get a new one.
But as I commented earlier, the baked potatoes look absolutely delicious.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

You've got me still wanting a baked potato. :) Maybe I need to make myself one for dinner tonight or tomorrow. And get some sour cream. YUM. I know you go back here on occasion and glad it was a worthwhile place to try. have a wonderful Tuesday. And new month. Hugs-Erika

While the buildings are nondescript to you, they are interesting to those of us from other parts. I'm always struck by how flat things are out there on the prairie. Happy T and Two Day!

Love your pictures - that potato looks fabulous - I love a good backed potato and prefer it with just butter (real) and a little salt. Did I tell you that I like my potato swimming in butter!
